I just bought "Teri", she weighs 6.7 lbs and is full of twang... she can rock too. I have had 3 Custom Shop Nocasters, a Don Grosh RCVT and countless other teles, this one is by far the best.

The neck is more of an extra deep U shape than chunky C IMHO, and is probably why I waited until I could try one before buying. I just have a thing for fat necks ever since my first Nocaster.

The fretwork is superb, don't believe any second hand info. They are highly polished and the ends are nicely dressed.

The pups are fantastic, the neck is not muddy at all and the bridge reminds me of a good vintage pup.

The relicing on mine is not over the top and actually is done where I play the most.

here's a pic from guitarrez, it's still listed on their website until they update:

I haven't been impressed by LSL's finishes before but this looks pretty nice. They must be getting the hang of it, or maybe these photos are just more representative.

Im looking at a couple right now. Trying to decide between Ash or Pine. Im leaning towards ash but...

What is the neck radius on these guitars?

7.25 on most but I heard they are starting to do 9.5 also.

I'm so tired of relics. I still own one a nocaster too. But what makes this different than a nocaster? Compensated saddles? Big frets or radius?

There's nothing like a nice piece of ash.

Thanks guys, it really is a nice guitar and I fortunate enough to be able to try it before buying (I'm through buying guitars "sight unseen").

This one is 7.25", but, as zink points out they are now doing 9.5" too.

The fretwork is way better than the Nocasters, the frets are highly polished, they are 6105, which I think help with string bending... no choking off notes with massive bends.

Also, the pickups are great, the bridge pup reminds me of an awesome 58 tele I once got to play.

Plus, they are real picky about the wood they use. Mine weighs 6.7 lbs and is really resonant.

So if you had a really resonant Nocaster and had it refretted with 6105's and had them polished and got Sayoko Kuwabara to wind you a set of her single coil pups, there would be very little difference.

Oh yeah, the price!

Also, no finish on the frets (a pet peeve of mine).

Just got an email from Lance, the fretboard was modeled after a 1954 Esquire (#2344). He also gave me some other specs that weren't published on guitarrez.com. Very cool!

Cliff from Destroy All Guitars turned me on to Lance and the gang early on.
LSL stuff is amazing.

Lance, it was your review after NAMM that I learned of these, but, I wnted to wait until I could try one in person.

What I just realized about these is that they "give it up" much easier than any other tele I have owned, I've had some great sounding/playing teles, but, you had to really dig in to get the goods, with the LSL, no worries, it flows out if that makes any sense.

makes total sense- these guitars intrinsically sound good- the pickups are stellar...
