... and it wasn't completely revolting. I was asked to go by my wife and a couple of her friends (note:never turn down an invite to go out with 3 good-looking women) and I am definitely not a big fan of their music, but they brought some respectable high-energy entertainment.

As for guitarist's George Pajon, Jr.'s tone, he needs to have a chat with their sound guy - it was a muddied mess. I know he is better than that.

All in all, it was a good time.

My band opened for them in Jerusalem in 07 and I agree George's tone was indeed a muddied mess back then too.

I am curious.. I am not really a fan, but I was in Vegas with my girlfriend over New Years, and she really wanted to see them. I looked for some tickets at the last minute, but was not going to spend $400 or more to see them.

I imagine it's a great show.

Is the whole thing as over-the-top high energy as their TV appearances? They almost always come off as extremely impressive and hard-working, even if they're not your style.

They definitely work hard for the money. Although they are not at all my cup of tea musically, I can appreciate that they take live performance seriously, which is a cool thing.

We only spent about $65 per ticket - thank goodness.

As for their energy, it really was impressive and they kept it up for 2 hours. They also let Fergie do all of her solo hits which I thought was great and to me was the highlight of the show.:D

As I've mentioned in other threads, they are a guilty pleasure of mine. Fun group.
