Yeah. His [and my] old drummer SR Fitzgerald just sent me his CD.
Phil used to tour years ago w/ Haslip and others too.

I love the fact that he lays his Marshall 8X10 cabinet down flat (speakers facing up) when he records. :)
Great player....he flys way too far under the radar.

What you said, way too under the radar. I have two of his CD's and they are both awesome.

Very fine player.
He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I got a chance to hang out with him a while back and we played each others guitars. I was also able to sit in on a private clinic he put on that was supposed to be a guitar lesson but it ended up turning into much more than that. He's a real motivational guy and he spent most of the time (in a VERY good way) talking more about personal attitude and what it is that blocks us as players from achieving what we want to do on the guitar. Very cool.
Obviously a MONSTER player.

Phil Brown I consider a close friend of mine and my family.
He has been a big influence on my musical career.... guitar playing, composing etc..
He is extremely knowledgeable of all styles of music and influenced by everything.
He is very educated and has strong views on everything from Politics to Religion.
Phil is a motivational guy that has a lot of great experiences that all musicians and non-musicians could learn from. A Monster Musician !

I was dubious when I first clicked on a link to listen to samples of songs off "The Jimi Project". Turned out to be a great album. Creative, well-played, well-sung interpretations of some classic songs.
