PA Gear Forum?

I have a technical question regarding a power amp that I'd like to bounce off a tech that deals with PA gear. Is there a forum similar to TGP for something like this?

Believe it or not, Harmony Central has great info once you get past the BS. They have a live sound forum as well as a songwriting and several recording forums that are pretty good.

Otherwise did you try posting here? Maybe try it in the amp technical section.

Yes...great forum.

But as stated, they're not a very forgiving bunch if you stray from the topic. They're also not very inclined to have deep discussions about "6-chanel Carvin powered mixers", etc. so keep it as "pro level" as possible.

That said, there are a lot of folks here on TGP with extensive sound reinforcement backgrounds (myself included...), so why not pose your question here?

The Live Sound Forum at H-C is quite good - some real pros there, and you won't get beat up for being a newb.

+1 for HC Live Sound and Prod. forum. Look for advice from "agedhorse" regarding power amps. Really smart guy.

You'd think the admins would add a live sound sub-forum here. It's obviously a relevant topic since there's at least 5 threads on it right now on page 1 of the lounge.

Well, at PSW you have the guys who have designed or manage the service departments of many of the top line companies.

As was said, keep band type questions in the Lounge section, and search first. The PSW search engine isn't very good so it's better to do a Google or something restricting the domain to PSW.

Don't worry about being in the Lounge section. The varsity pros who like to help, like John Roberts (former designer for Peavey) or Bob Lee of QSC are in there all the time.
