I'll have to give them more of a listen. I'm kind of fond of My Morning Jacket as at least one of the top bands of the last 10 years.

I've been a fan since the Kings Of Leon EP. Seen them many times. I love their uniqueness. There is a lot of talk with older fans like myself about whether or not they have 'sold out' or not. I admit their sound has changed a lot, but their core idea and execution is still there. They just got better as musicians, and are willing to experiment. I think they're one of the best ever.
I won't be soon selling my original issue KOL cherry logo rolling papers, either!

That's really refreshing to hear. I only starting listening to them a year or so ago and think ALL of their material is fantastic. So many old school fans dis them now, but I agree with you. A band should grow and progress as musicians. Especially younger guys like them. Definitely in my top 10 favorite newer bands.

I've only recently gotten into them (a sad admission for a guy from Nashville). I was really impressed with their latest album. It's been in a constant rotation. A great rock album that hooks you from the first song and keeps you listening to hear what's next.

They won a Grammy so, they must be part of the evil machine; per TGP rule #42.

Saw KOL at the Palladium open for The Strokes in 2003. Great show. Lots of cute girls. At 28, I was an old man in that crowd. Their new stuff doesn't sound very much like their old stuff. I'll leave it at that.
