Hi. I'm looking for a treble booster for give my Muff clone some articulation, clarity and brightness, without losing the spit and grawl. So far, I've been lookinh into Beano Boost, Red Rooster and the like.
However, my pedalboard space calls for a tiny booster (the size of those Catalinbread minis)? Does any manufacturer make such treble boosters?

Why is this? What does it do? Pardon my treble booster ignorance, but what am I actually looking for in a treble booster (and what should I perhaps avoid)?
Hmm, the things I've heard about the Screaming Bird are not very encouraging...people seem to say it sounds somewhat filtery (as opposed to open-sounding?)...anybody care to elaborate on this?
And the Bird is not really very small... is there anything smaller?

Ollman used to make these http://www.ollmann-elektronik.de/pi1/pd26.html in a mini hammond enclosure. http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/95/m_6a554a578aec46ad2d54a762103299ea.jpg
That's the only germanium treble booster in a mini box that I can think of.
Post a reverse spam in the dealers / makers section. I'm sure you will find builders willing to build you a custom pedal.

That's a great tip! I've never heard of these...anybody ever tried them? How wrong can I go if buying blind-folded?
Check out danielzink.com. He makes a ton of awesome-looking pedals in 1590A size boxes (the same size as the Catalinbread mini pedals). Affordable too! They all say sold, but just email him and he'll let you know if he can build you one.
