Man did he write a LOT of hits. By hits I mean #1s, #2s and the like. With ex-wife Carole King, Barry Mann, others and just himself. No idea he was that prolific.

Whoa, didn't see "Saving All My Love For You". Another #1 and yet 25 years later after his songs first hit the charts. Prolific...wait, already said that.

What I forgot to add...such a diverse list of artists recorded his songs. A lot of artists for whom Gerry Goffin made their careers.

one of my favorite songs in the world is a song he and carole wrote that was on an album by Seatrain. creepin' midnight - can't even find sheet music on line for it. not a hard tune to figure out, i think i'm just lazy.
