Hey all,

Im thinking about buying a Dillion LP Jr double cutaway copy, but how big of a pain the arse will it be to replace the stock p90 with a normal size HB. Thanks

Don't know about Dillons... but if the pup cavity is the same size, no pain. However, most HB require 500k pots, so make sure that's what you have or you'll be changing that, too.

HBs and p90 have different pickup routes. You'll need to route the cavity for the humbuckers. You won't be the first person in the world to do so.

You'll need a template and a router. I prefer to use a laminate router for such jobs.

Most P90's also use 500k pots (at least for the volumes).

I agree with sosomething. You're going in the wrong direction.

P-90s are longer top to bottom than HBs, so there'll be gaps at each end.

Get some P-90 sized humbuckers - problem solved and you won't fall prey to the Woops!!! factor. :aok
