Just got my Rockbox Boiling Point from a fellow TGPer, what an amazing pedal. So many tones from Richards to Johnson. I love the response to pick attack!

try running it at 18 volts, if you want more headroom. I have one of the first 50 ever made and it's a frigging tone machine!

I just got mine last week. Freaking amazing. I swapped the 4558 with a BB and my eyes nearly shot out of my head. MY WIFE EVEN LIKES IT!!!!

I saw some gut shots of the Boiling Point, looks really close to the BYOC. Just curious to see if anyone knows anything about this.

So the IC Op=Amp chip is a 4558? This another TS-type or Blues Breaker?

I own a Blues Breaker, an 808, a Landgraff LDO and KoT. The Boiling Point has the smoothness that you get with an LDO or KoT, but with more gain range and more presence. This quickly becoming my favorite.

Sounds like another boutique sibling of a TS. Im sure its a good pedal thou. Whoever says theres such a thing as too many pedals is a heretic!:beer

I use it with a Dunlop 18 volt adapter- American Musical Supply has the best price on the adapter- for less $ than MF and ZZounds

The instruction sheet actually recommends trying 18 volts.

Closer to a Blues Breaker than an 808. But different.

Could you please elaborate for us less tech savvy types? Is the BB just a different brand of op amp or actually a different type? What kind of sound difference did you achieve? Thanks.
