hi
now i'm using a clean boost for solo boost (flying dragon !) but i have a question for you ...
for cutting through the mix would it be better to use a mid boost like demeter or other (treble boost are not for me ! )... ?
which mid boost do you use and how ?
clip of mid boost ?

A boost in your mid frequencies is exactly what you need to cut through the band mix. Treble boosters can be good as they inject great mids in all the right places. Just don't crank it if you don't want it to break up too much (ie: stay clean).

It really depends on the guitar, the amp, and what else is going on in the arrangement at the time. A Strat or Tele into a BF fender can really benefit from a mid boost tonally. But if you're playing a solo low on the neck while the rest of the band is chording and thumping along with a lot of musical content in the midrange and upper bass, boosting your mid frequencies will probably make the overall sound more muddy instead of helping your part cut.

I use a fulltone fatboost 2 for my solos with my '63 vibroverb reissue and my strat & tele. I like to add some fatness to the sound (playing clean) when I play a solo, and have a more open sound when I play rhythms

What makes you think your solos aren't cutting through right now? Are you running out of headroom on the amp? If your clean boost is loud enough, you shouldn't need to "cut."
The usual mistake I hear people make on solos is adding gain without adding much volume.

i'm agree with you but sometime when you play louder the drummer think that you want him to play louder too ... ;-) but the only thing you want was cutting a little bit through the mix, that's why i ask that question !
i can change the drummer but :boxer...

He plays louder when you're taking a solo? I think you need to ask him why he does that before you spend $$.
