I was considering getting a Bass amp as I like the kind of distortion you'd get on an SVT style Bass amp especially, and it would be very handy for running a synth or a bass through.

I'm thinking of either doing this, or getting a Peavey Bandit and a pedal the Catalinbread SFT or Tech21 VT Bass. But neither of these, obviously would allow me to put a Bass through an amp.

A Bass Cab would do too as I have a Lunchbox I can use as a power amp/for cleans that can also take a Bass. It'd be EQ'd a bit funny, but I think I'm okay with that. Good enough for Lemmy.

Possibly not esoteric enough for your taste, but my Ampeg BA112 works nicely to fatten up my Superchamp XD. Line out from the SC into the lower level Ampeg input and blend to taste.
