A few questions about the Red Wirez IR's. I own the original Big Box collection, but I see that they have expanded it to include some of their new IR's of Hiwatt/Fane (which interests me) and a Basketweave Marshall 4x12 along with a Twin. Is there some type of discount for "repeat customers" to grab some of these new IR's?

Has anyone utilized the online MixIR application on the Red Wirez site? That seems like a very quick and convenient way for me to start testing IR mixing. If so, how did it work out for ya?

Yes there is. Go into your account there and you'll see you can save money. The more you buy, the more you save; he starts you off at a discount rate if you are a past customer.

I don't think Red Wirez is affiliated with Digidesign.

MixIR is very "DOS" like and not terribly easy to work with, but it was something RedWirez offered so you could at least do it and I applaud them for that. There are tutorials out there on how to mix IRs through other plugins. I decided I didn't need too many IRs and just used mono cabs mostly and just tried mixing some in stereo on the cab block of the AxeFX. The other way of creating IRs through mixing outside of the AxeFX was a rat hole for me.

I guess I was speaking about the MixIR online tool where you upload two of the IR's you want to mix, set the percentage of each one and let the online version of MixIR do the magic in the background. I still have not tested it as of yet.
As of right now I'm knee deep in IR's: Red Wirez, Recabinet and some freeware. I'm recording 11 rack without any cab sims and then using Le Cab as a VST Plugin on the track to test out IR's. It's pretty slick, in Reaper I can just loop the track and just keep testing IR's one by one but very quickly. Beats the hell out of audtioning/uploading IR's into the AxeFX as far as speed. BUT... I'm starting to feel held back a little by not being able to apply/hear the IR in conjunction with reamping on 11 Rack. Also, no matter what I find that works on a recorded track, I will not be able to use a similar IR uploaded into 11 Rack (yet... maybe someday?).
I can say this -- so far EVERY track that is 11 Rack recorded without cab sim + 3rd party IR applied sounds way better to my ears than anything I can get out of the built in 11 Rack cab/mic/graphic EQ combos. I spent some time yesterday comparing:

11 Rack recorded to disk + 3rd party cab sim (as VST FX on the track)
Vs.
Reamping 11 Rack (so I could tweak in realtime on the 11 rack)
And overall, the Red Wirez stuff just adds so much more realism, punch, detail and character it's no contest. I did not spend too much time with the Recabinet IR's but from quick testing they did not seem to be on the same level as the Red Wirez IR's in terms of realism and quality. YMMV.
