View Full Version : I love my v1 Musket, do I need a v2?

I noticed that they've updated the Musket to v2. I'm really happy with my v1, but I wondered if anyone who had played both could comment on whether the updates warrant upgrading? It's hard to tell from video clips.

Thought I'd try this again.

Well, the V2, from memory, just has more of what the V1 did. The Focus was more drastic etc. and it could get tighter. If I'm getting a fuzz again (not a big fuzz guy, sadly!) I'm definitely getting the Musket again, but this time, V2.

I recently bought a Musket Fuzz and I love the tone, but I seem to have an issue with it and I'm wondering if other Musket owners can comment on whether or not it is typical.

Essentially, if I have the fuzz on anything past 7:00/8:00ish I get really obnoxious feedback when not playing and muting the strings. Is this normal, or could something be amiss with my particular unit?

Thanks guys.

*EDIT* I thought it might be helpful to mention the other gear I am using with the Musket.

Gibson SG or Gibson 339 into Musket-> OCD -> Semaphore -> DD-20 -> DL4 -> '74 Hiwatt DR103.

I get the same issue with the SG and the 339, so I wouldn't blame it on the hollowbody.

Bump for the night crew.
