At least that's what I am lead to believe after my experience of today. Here is what happened:
* I subscribed to Guitarist Australia 6 months ago. Since then, I received 2 mags ok, 2 some weeks after my newsagent got it on the shelves, and 2 went MIA. I cancelled my subscription this afternoon in frustration.
* I then thought I would subscribe to Guitar Aficionado as I love that mag. I went to their site and entered all my details, but their payment system rejected 3 of my credit cards, 2 of which I have used successfully since at other online stores.
* As a last resort, I thought I would subscribe to Guitar Techniques mag. I went to the UK site where I filled in my information for international subscriptions, including entering in my country (Australia) from a list of hundreds of countries. After entering in all this tedious information, I submit the for only to be told that my country was outside the delivery area. Um...Why offer the choice of countries on the form if you don't intend to deliver there?
Anyhow, I think I shall remain magazine-less, and rely on TGP to get my regular guitar fix!
Frustratedly Yours,
Devan
