Phil is a great guy, and a hell of a player. VERY cool Jimi arrangements and chord voicings... very classy.
sounds pretty cool!
Big fan, been listening to this for a couple years now. Cruel Inventions is insanely good too.

Never heard of him til now, but wow. Watched the vids, amazing. It's great to see someone reinterpret Jimi's stuff like this.
edit: fifty bucks for that cd on amazon.ca? Yikes!
edit again: ok, it's 14 bucks from his website, that's better
I met him a few years ago and he signed my CD when I bought it. Great player and cool vibe. He really played great live when I saw him!

Phil is a force of nature. One of the most humble human beings you will ever meet.Very few players have the mojo Phil has.

Bought Cruel Inventions on iTunes a couple of days ago and I'm LOVING IT. Flat out sexy-sounding music and Brown is a monster player. No idea why he's not a TGP household name.
Can't wait to check out the Jimi Project.

I got this disc today, bought it from Phil's website. Excellent, excellent stuff. I listened to it this aft and plan to again tonight. I'd highly recommend it to all Hendrix buffs. It's so much cooler to hear reinterpretation rather than straight imitation-type covers, no matter how technically accomplished.
A bonus is that Phil's a really good vocalist. I was trippin' on the vox just as much as the guitar.

I love this album!! I've had this since it came about 2 years ago. My favorite take on Jimi's stuff. His Strat tone through a Marshall is amazing. Great articles on him in both Vintage Guitar and Tonequest about the time this came out.

Love his playing.
Love his voice.
