Electra Dyne users- tubes?

Hey folks, just wondering whether anyone has experimented with different tubes in the ED and what the results were?

i am going to bump this since i have just acquired one of these and am also curious.

update - I was not really looking to improve on something i thought was a great tone but my inner curious tweaker made me put Tungsol reissue 12AX7's in V1, V2 & V3, resulting in no real appreciable difference.

If anyone has any experiences with EL-34's or other tube swaps please share.

I've tried JJ and Svetlana EL34's and both times the Screen Grid resistors smoked after a few hours.
