what kind of strap locks are these?

I see pictures of Eric Clapton and John Mayer and a few other guitar players using these. They look like they just go over the strap once it is on. I know Dunlop makes some like these but I remember seeing some made out of metal a few years ago and I can't seem to find them anymore. Does anybody know where I can find these?

Nope, those are pick shaped and I have played with them and they have fallen apart at the drop of a hat ;)

Both made by Dunlop, but as I said, I have had no luck with the pick shaped ones. But the round ones I have used on my 2 lp's for years with no problems at all. But of course, YMMV IMHO etc...

i use them and they are nice. easy to use, you just put them on after the strap is on and turn the outside half a half turn. they are locked in place until you want them off. great product.

Only problem with the beer locks is if your case will not fit both the guitar and the strap (which I have that issue), in that case it's a bit of a pain to remove the beer lock. Not impossible of course, but just a pain.

I bought a few of these. They bent/came apart and became worthless within 2 gigs, and I'm very gentle with my gear and I don't move around on stage.
