So I'm hoping/planning to start playing baritone guitar out in public in a groovy trio setting, and WILL NOT try and do it without a 15" amp, or something holding down the LF. FYI, it's a 70's Fender Musicmaster bass that I put some big old Schecter pickups into, with a wraparound TonePros bridge and 2 extra tuners. Far out! Will try to post pics soon...
My plan is to sound more like a great big low guitar, not a 6-string bass, so in that vein: I was thinking about using a GT Soul-O 75 (which is certainly plenty of amp) and pairing it with *something* Any ideas? Pretty sure I won't need much, just some support for that bottom octave.
Of course, I love the idea of 2 proper guitar amps, one of them being a bitchen 15-er, like a Vibrosonic or something. My dad used to play steel, and he had an Evans 15" that I am remembering fondly right now. But that's a lot to lug. Maybe one of those Acoustic Image upright bass amps with the down-firing 10"? I heard they're kind of *****, but like I said I don't think I need much.
I'm tuning A-A, BTW.
Thanks fellas!
