Picked up this old (beat to crap) Marshall cab. I think it's a 70's. It has Jim Marshall's sig inside and another I can't make out. The top right Celestion seems to be a later add-on. Not sure of the others, Stamped: Made in England. All the speakers are 15ohm. Is the Signature Rare? Any info would be appreciated.

The signature is not rare and doesn't add to the value. It is a 70 cab with the 9" logo and basketweave grill. No inside reinforced corners or cross slat make it a 70 was well. The large magnet 30 watt speakers are probably original to the 1982 model cab. Plus the date is code C is 70, D would be 71 but by 71 plastic parts and other changes started to appear.
I just got a 69 a couple weeks ago. I stripped it and stained it and put a some sealer on it. It came with no speakers but Scumbacks make it sound like original. The B cab in the background of my picture is a 70 with four original M speakers.

Thanks Alex, are you saying 70's or 1970?

30 watt if the frame cones all say CD then they probably are all from 70 and original. Check the cones see if there is a white code stamped on them that will tell you if they have original cones.

Nice! ... is that a green cab?
(BTW, my 75 SFTR has had a pair of those G12M-70's since the 80's)

Roll up to a gig with that and instant cred.
The sig isn't rare, but it is a cool thing and one day will perhaps enhance the value.
