I had the radio on in the background the other day when a commercial for a local casino came on advertising an upcoming concert by some country western or rock something or other band. A clip of what I suppose is this band's latest hit was playing and I swear I heard the following lyric (or close paraphrase): "I love it when she rocks her beer gut, she isn't ashamed..." Or something like that. What the hell is going on with that? That is utterly stupid IMO. :stir

The correct answer to your question is a suspendable offense around these parts.

Well, it is a country song. Like the old days, singing about 'dirty birds in their dirty underwear' and some such country wisdom. My wife loves Rockin a Beer Gut. The song that is. :)

It's a joke. It's kind of amusing to say that someone is "rocking" something that really doesn't rock: ex. "I'm rocking a bald spot."

Trailer Park Choir. I think they are Toby Keith's band or something like that. The women at the bars in town love that song.

They're a Nashville band. They signed with Kieths label and toured with him last summer. They've always had a fun show...big guy who does the big guy dance. They picked up the chick last year. Good to hear beer gut is getting national airplay.

Whew, and I thought I was gonna get trashed for being so judgmental. Yeah, the song is corney times 10, but if others are having fun, then... Yee haw!
