If you're interested in my thinking...having not seen any of the episodes she was in previously, I figured that if one of the 'good guys' saws the thumb off of a bad guy, there's no way they don't pay for the transgression. Even with a fogiveable moment of insanity, there's got to be a cost to the character. Similarly, Cole has fess up and pay before the end of the series. If it was going another season, maybe not, but I guess this is the last year.

kind of cheesy ending. guess there's more torture to come in the movie. i heard there's a class at columbia or somewhere studying the 24 effect.
