what is the difference between the fulltone OCD and fulldrive II. Is it just the boost?
thanks

No, they are very different. The Full-Drive is a Tubescreamer style, more compressed with more mid hump than the OCD. The OCD is more open and raw sounding to me, although the FD2 can get more open using the other modes, especially the Mosfet versions. I have and love both pedals.

Also, the OCD is gritty, and FD2 is smooth. By the way, they stack very well together, so you might consider getting both.

Had both but kept the FD2. The OCD was too "bassy" for me in general but I think it would be great for most blues players.

I liked the OCD but love the Fulldrive 2 Mosfet. I like lower gain od...and the versitility of the FD2

Which way do you stack them? FD2 -> OCD or OCD -> FD2?

This is a fair comparison. The OCD has alot more gain on tap as well. I have both as well and love the ocd as it seems to stack well with almost anything. I like the fd2 too but sometimes we get along and sometimes we don't. It's weird...one day I'll love it and the next I want to sell it.

I'd agree with LuckyBlackCat, the FD2 Mosfet can get pretty open sounding, even running on just 9 volts, I gotta try it on 18...

I had a v4 OCD first. Ended up trading it in on the FD2. Just felt too compressed to me with my amp. Lots of gain on tap, but just too compressed to work for me.

With the FD2 I can get into the gain area I was using the OCD for, plus I can have the OD side set to a lower gain, then boost up to high gain FTW.
