Broken Pedal Help

I have a Line 6 DL-4 delay modeler with a broken tap tempo switch. Seems like it would be an easy fix... maybe a new spring or something. Anybody else experienced a similar problem?

This is a well known and documented problem with these pedals. Check out this page on a tutorial to replac the switchs with much more reliable no surface mount switchs:

okay well it was a broken spring after i opened it up and tinkered with it a bit. i replaced it with another spring, which hopefully will hold for awhile. it works. but a new switch system is needed on these pedals. eventually ill do that.
