How do you play? I go for the more relaxed playstyle, as in I don't care much when I die, and whatnot. What about you all?

Eh, I don't care necessarily but, I don't like to lose. I mean, who does really? I enjoy playing strategically. I normally play with some COs that I know and we play with a complete strategy, dividing the map in sectors and quadrants. Impossible to do without a lobby full of guys you know and can talk with directly.

I'm better at World at War than I am at MW2.

I only pretty much play hardcore, because it drives me insane that it takes like a full clip from an M4 to bring someone down in the non-hardcore games. its just silly. I also like the World at War COD better with respect that they have more hardcore options than just Team Deathmatch,

Serious enough to have bought a earpiece, but not serious enough that I screws my life up, lol.

It's literally the worst game to play if you get stuck with a crappy team or it can be one of the most fun and rewarding if not. The vast majority of players on XBL don't seem to grasp the point of the game so I pretty much stopped playing it immediately after getting it unless I get a game with friends going. It will frustrate you to no end when no one seems to care about the objectives and only about leveling up their own characters as the expense of the objectives.
To the OP, I am a casual MW/MW2 player.. I get pissed every now and then but for the most part its just a fun distraction.
In single player though, I am an achievement whore and only play on the hardest difficulty.

What's your loadout? You need to use different perks if it takes you an entire clip to take someone down. You absolutely need stopping power enabled.

I get ramped up on jack and blow and wreck the noobs. lol jk
Leveling some crappy guns right now so I can get the titles. lol If I wasn't doing that I'd just run the ranger and something like the M16A. I set my primary as a runner and 2nd as a high dps shooter with TI so I can get a good spot and work from there.

Ever since I got my tactical nuke, I switched over to playing Battlefield.

I do have stopping power but its still frustrating. I love the M4 with a scope but its too underpowered. alot of people love to use the juggernaut perk, which I detest

You just reminded me of one trend I like to really like to bust up. When I find two dudes hiding in a corner with tactical respawns, killing each repeatedly just to earn the nuke, I go after them with everything I have...no matter how many times I die in the process.
Otherwise, I'm just a casual player for fun. :o

I've not used the M4 personally but I would use another gun if you still have to use a clip and you have stopping power. Perhaps the weapon is better suited for up close and personal versus trying to use it as a scoped medium to long range weapon.
My favorite loadout is the AK47 or the SCAR with Scavenger Pro, Stopping Power and Ninja, using a silencer on either. I used to use scopes constantly but I figured out that most times its kind of a waste as the iron sites do the job perfectly. My game got considerably better when I stopped using scopes. I only use scopes on long range sniper rifles, I find that more often than not you're not going to be accurate using them with an assault rifle.

I do use the SCAR which I find to drop enemy alot quicker. I prefer the scope for whatever reason, especially over iron sights and even red dot so I need to get more kills on this thing to get the scope. I'm still only like a level 22 on MW2 so I'm a bit away from all the great perks and attachments.
One of things I like better about WaW vs MW2 is there is less technology involved in the combat, its more about the skills in playing than wacky perks and weapon attachments.

I play Bad Company 2.
COD is lame in comparison.

MW2 can def be frustrating. I play pretty casual - had it since b4 xmas and i'm only about level 25!
I try and follow the missions, usually play domination, but lately i have been concentrating on unlocking the weapon challenges

Havent played any of these (the last I played was CO2 and Halo 2).
Anyway, starting with Goldeneye on the N64, I only play 'one shot and you're dead'. Add much more suspense, and people dont run around Rambo-style.
Side track: these are my favorite mutliplayer games.
Halo 1--feels much faster than halo 2 to me. No online, but that's okay, I like LAN play anyway. Often, we played pistols only, which was a blast.
MarioKart--fun, fun, fun
Goldeneye--set the bar for FPSs and party games
COD2--liked a lot, set bar for realism

Here's a simple test. Try putting on a silencer instead of a scope on your favorite gun and just play a few games and see how you do. The silencer will help keep you off radar until someone gets a UAV (which you can avoid by having cold blooded) which is what really gets you killed in these games. If you can avoid being a red dot on the radar you will last a lot longer and therefore get more kills per life. The iron sites are actually quite stable and easy to see through. I used to be the exact same way until someone told me how much I was missing by being tied to a scope. The silencer is the best attachment in my opinion for any gun, second only to the grenade launcher.
Looking forward to the new map package as COD is kind of paling on me. Pickup games of Domination (capture the flag) is still my favorite. There's enough point rules that teams generally try to play together. I don't mind winning or losing. I get a fair score either way. In prestige it really doesn't matter all that much anyway. You would be surprised how far, how fast you can rank up with just the initial assault class. It actually takes me a game or two to compensate for the lag, which seems different each time I play. So I am sort of forced to play a relaxed style. I've done the headset, clan, practice, competition ladder thing in the past, but its frustrating. I am never better than a mid-tier player. There are always people who learn quicker or have more natural skill or can spend more time online than me.

true dat. I have the coldblooded perk and a kit with the M4 with a silencer so I'll give that a whirl for a while. the only thing I don't like about the silencer is the reduced range.
you play Xbox or PS3?
