Did you not see the South Park? Those machines are responsible for the current financial crisis!!
OK, seriously, my friend got one for a wedding gift a few years back, it is awesome, just don't overfill it or it becomes quite a mess.

Ha, nope missed that one!
I was figuring, nice blender (old one finally went bad) or spend the extra and go for it.

How hard is it to squeeze a few limes, add some good tequila and a little simple syrup?

Yea, and don't forget a tad of Triplesec.
Is it like an ice cream machine or something to make frozen ones? I prefer them on the rocks, but I'll drink a frozen one if I have to. :D

I know, I only have one or two ever, then off to BEER!
Basically, big party and we were going to rent a machine, then I thought heck use that $ and just buy a cool one to keep.
I bartended for 5 years, always have hated straight up stock frozen Margi from machines...mixing isn't the issue.
I actually looked into these more, might just buy a nice more industrial blender like a Waring...won't look as cool, but will last longer:>)
Quality of triple sec is a huge factor most people forgo, usually do better Teq, but skimp on the TS.

I got one for my wife (then girlfirend) while we were dating. Works great and we're still using it a few years later.
add a touch of chambroid for something extra special :)

We've got a Margaritaville Machine. Works good, real good, sometimes too good! Did have to replace a part after the wife put it together wrong after a cleaning. Good customer service tho'.

The Margartiaville Machine?
Yes. Makes really good frozen margaritas! Just NEVER put the liquids in where the ice goes like a friend of my wife's did (it was a bitch to clean!).

Margaritas are served on the rocks. Period.
Anything else is a margarita-flavored daiquiri.

I'm a crown and coke guy but my wifey got me one for my birthday (only because she always gets me something she really wants!) Anyway this year I started useing it to make smoothies and now I have one almost everyday to get my fruit intake (so I can drink more Crown).

I'm a rocks man myself. but when i need to do them blended, an osterizer is perfect, its blend is amazing. I don't understand what the machine does that the osterizer can't do.

A Waring Pro is a beautiful piece of machinery. Contreau/Grand Marnier not good enough? I like a proper Margarita, but sometimes when I can detect that bitter orange liqueur, I wanna throw up a little.
