Ok. Pick two other guitarists tops, one vocalist, one bassist, and one drummer for each band. Who would they be?
For me...
Band 1:
Guitar
Brian Aubert (Silversun Pickups)
Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine)
Bass
Mike Dirnt (Green Day) I think it could work.
Vocals
Trent Reznor. Yup. (NIN)
Drums
...that guy from Radiohead. (ugh this is embarassing. If I weren't so lazy I'd google his name...)
Band 2:
Guitar
Jack White (Everything. Ever.)
Dan Auerbach (Black Keys)
Bass
Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Vocals
Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog)
Drums
Jimmy Chamberlin (Smashing Pumpkins)
Most of these seem arbitrary but I think they could be really really cool!
So. Give it a shot! Who would you jam with?

Presuming members of the band don't all have to be alive since this is pure fantasy
Band 1:
Rich Robinson
Derek Trucks
Paul "Macca" Mcartney
John Henry Bonham
Band 2:
Mike Portnoy (Dream theater)
Rick Wright (Pink Floyd)
John Paul Jones

I'd be very happy (just trying) to hold down rhythm guitar with either of those two set ups
