If you like the stone all ready I would just go nano and you will have the same great sound your used to but in a mini me size!

true - but i've heard issues with its construction . . . i'm not hard on pedals, so i'm not too worried, just wondering if anyone else had had experience with the nanos breaking on them?

the nano stone is not the same circuit, so I don't know how well that would work out for him.

i'm gonna try it out - from what i've read the nano doesn't have the volume drop like the one i have

I spent hours demo'ing the Small Stone and Nano before buying the full size.
The Nano has a lot more hiss and background noise than the full size, however the general tone of the swirl was the same. I don't remember any difference between volume drops.
