GSP 1101 owners, how does it stack up to being used for time based fx only, particularly verb/delay/chorus, as compared to TC, Rocktron, lexicon, etc?

It's maybe not quite as transparent as the Rocktron Intellifex, but it's quite a bit more flexible. I originally used mine that way and like it as much or more than any comparably-priced units I've owned (Intelifex, Boss, TC G-Major, etc.). The fact that it also has great stomp box models that can be inserted between guitar and amp input in 4CM is pretty sweet.Harmonizer and rotary FX could be improved a bit, but the verbs and mods and delays are nice and sound great to me, especially live. The available amp modeling is excellent too and, IMHO, nothing touches it overall anywhere near its price point. I would be comfortable doing any fly in date and renting a good tube amp and using the GSP/C2 to get my sounds.

Hi Jason,

I was hoping you'd see this. So will the GSP output 100% wet only for the verb, delay, and chorus, for possible wet/dry use or with parallel fx loops?

For the first year or so that I owned the 1101, I used it exclusively in the FX loop of my amp for delay, verb, etc. It works really well IMO. Before that I tried a variety of delay pedals in front of the amp, but was never satisfied.

The MXR Phaser sim is not correct. Badly botched IMO. It's my favorite fx and I owned one for years.

The OCD pedal sim however, was done correctly.
