Well I was using a front loaded 4x12 with private jacks with my PT100, and just for kicks I plugged it into my 65 amps 4x12 with 4 g12h30's. It sounded really good, way better than the private jacks/greenback type speaker.

So I am thinking of getting a 4x12 vintage cab from avatar loaded with 4 g12h30's.


Your thoughts?

Marshall makes the AHW (All-Hand-Wired) cab that comes stock w/ 4x12 G12H30's....I bought mine "scratch-n-dent" for a few hundred less....Just a thought...

I started with the 4 stock G12H30's and currently run (2) G12H30's and (2) Weber Neo-Mag's (JBL clones) in a criss-cross pattern...It's a great arrangement.

So, there you have it.....my thoughts.

or 4 Celestion Heritage Greenback G12H30 55hZ each?
There is a big difference in tone between the 2 models.

The Marshall 1960HW cab's should have the Heritage greenback 55hZ's stock and they are great cabs.

Just to add your SLO will sound great with either H30 version.

FWIW, I prefer the PT amp with H type speakers too.

There is a big difference in tone between the 2 models.

Great Greenback speakers with a very full bass response but, they're not cheap....

If I get the cab it will be the g12h30 anniversary ones from Avatar. But the 55hz bass speakers may sound cool and I can get those too for like 200 bucks more

Yep after listening to these clips, I am going to get rid of that carvin 4x12 with the private jacks super fast.

If you are going with the anniversary's, I'd suggest the helatones which are the same speaker but come nicely broken in.
