Couple hundred miles on it now. The dealer here in santa cruz ordered it from northern california. I thought it was going to be brought on a transport. Is a couple hundred miles too much for a new nissan murano?

Not an issue. Cars are constatnly shuffled between dealer stock. It's just part of it...
If you expect otherwise, you need to tell the dealer up front. And be prepared to only deal with the stock on that specific lot.

Are you leasing the vehicle?
If yes, then have them start the lease at the miles when you take possession.
After all, you're taking the car with miles on it that eat into your warranty ;)

It is a purcase. 232 miles. I guess we are not going to worry about it. Thanks!

It'll be forgotten during the lifetime of the car.

Just try not to think about how many times the driver guy farted on the seat during those 232 miles.... but it would be numerous times, I'm betting. :peenut

no.
if you specifically requested the vechicle, and the sales staff went out of their way to make the sale, you're obligated to either stick to the deal or walk. no re-negotiation.
fwiw, i would be LESS than thrilled about having a new stock unit DRIVEN 200+ miles for delivery...and i work at a dealership.

I would toss some F-Bombs around in the showroom until they roll the mileage back Ferris Bueller style.

I think, if the car made it that's a great sign! :D
They are probably delivering pizzas on the way to Santa Cruz.
Enjoy the Nissan!

when I was in university I used to do dealer trades on new cars all the time.
It is really a common business practice.
if you make a fuss, maybe you get some extra floormats or something, but maybe not.

Think about it ... in two or three weeks you'll put that or more on it. Would it still be new? I think you're just looking to get a better price. The dealer found you the car you wanted, and fetched it for ya. Relax.

Nothing to worry about.
My truck (purchased new in '02) had almost 350 miles on it when I took ownership. My guess is that they 'sold' it to somebody with bad credit & then couldn't get a bank to buy the loan, so they canceled the deal and took the truck back into inventory.
60k+ miles later, it has served me well & had ZERO problems.

I wouldn't sweat it. What damage could someone possibly do in 232 miles. If it's covered in mud and missing the front bumper and smoke is bellowing out of the hood .... well then that's a different story. But, I would hope the driver was being professional and treating the car well.
When we bought our last car (Honda element). We wanted a black stick shift. The closest one was 8 hours away at another dealership. They had some guy drive it in for us. It arrived in beautiful condition. Of course, it did have a handful of miles, but it never amounted to anything in the end. The car runs perfect. Never had any problems.

232 miles = light relicing. Total mojo man!
Actually probably better that the car has been driven a bit. On my Audi A4 I had a bunch of small problems that came up in the first 200 or so miles of driving. Mostly computer errors requiring a quick fix at the dealer, but annoying nonetheless.
