Schertler pickups. Anyone try them???

Just saw the Schertlyer DYN-series and Bluestick... anybody know anything about them?

my brother used to have the bluestick.. it just didn't give him a consistent enough quality for him to keep it in his guitar. Some places sounded good, some places it was just honky and feedback prone.

I use the DYN-G on my old Epi Archtop, and used it on my Mandolin as well before picking up a Baggs Radius for that. It's basically an isolated contact mic -- much less feedback prone than others, but not feedback-proof by any means. You can get very good results with them if a) you are willing to spend the dough for one and b) you have a decent EQ between it and your acoustic amp or at the mixing desk.
