I'm building a new guitar, wondering if anyone else has done this, and if you have any photos of your guitar?

I'm doing:

Tele body
Maple Strat neck
Strat Neck Pickup
Tele Bridge Pickup
3 way Switch
Probably throw Strat knobs on it.

So basically a Tele with a Strat neck and strat neck pickup.

To me it's the best of both guitars, I think it'll work great!

I have a DAG Telstar and I really dig it.

The thing is, it's a bit of it's own beast. It has a cool "Stratish" neck tone, but it's still a bit thicker sounding in that position than most Strats, and the bridge position is very nice, but it's not really a full Tele sound.

My Strat is a better Strat than this guitar, and my Tele is a better Tele than this guitar. Still, as a 1 stop single coil machine, it does get the job done. :)

I put a strat neck on a tele body once... Which was kinda rad.

That's all I got :D

I did this once too, loved it. I'm a nut for that strat neck pup sound, and then having the tele bridge, mmmm... :aok

My main guitar is a thinline with a strat neck pickup and I moved the volume knob so it is where a strat's is. This is basically a Jerry Donahue signature model pickup set up and it is a lot of fun, the middle position is great as well.

Sure! It is a great look and the strat neck pup will require a bit of routing usually.

K-Line is building me a TeleBirdMaster. It's a hybrid of the following (Telecaster & Jazzmaster & Firebird). It actually should be finished rather soon.

I have a tele w/ a middle strat p/u wired to its own vol. pot. I also contoured the back of the tele so it is more comfy. The neck and bridge p/u's are wired to a 4 way switch so I can get the series sound if I am in a more rockin' and/or jazzy mood.
