Was thinking about ordering a Mira online (for me this would be a big investment). How's the QC on these? Good enough to order one blind? It would save a lot of money from buying it at a retail store...

Even the detractors on the board will tell you they're put together well.

Whether you'll like it is something else again though...but that's the price you pay with any brand.

PRS has the best QC in the business...seriously!

I've bought my last 7 or 8 PRS's online, both new and used, and they've never had any issues. QC is one of the things PRS is most known for.

Mira is a nice guitar - no QC problems at all on mine, or on the 3 others that I tried out in the store... Good luck with it!

The QC is real good on these guitars. Haven't found a PRS with QC issues yet in my experience of seeing and playing over 40-50pcs.

I used to sell them, so I've seen more than few. You could take them out the box, tune (only!) a few strings, and put them on the hanger. Compared to other brands, some of which needed a quick (or occasionally complete) setup before being sold, they were immaculate. As others are saying, if you're going to buy blind, they're your best bet.

BTW, I've been to the factory, and PRS doesn't really have a final QC station. Each worker inspects the work done by the worker before him. If it's not right, it does not move down the line, it gets fixed or becomes firewood.

I've played another guitarist's Mira sitting in with a band, great axe. The Mira X I've tried at the PRS factory is lighter than a Parker Fly! I own a CE24 PRS QC is tops!

Every PRS I've ever seen has been flawless and stunning.

I wouldn't hesitate......I've owned probably 50+ PRS and haven't had a problem with them.

Take a quick look at these vids....you'll see how things work @ PRS as far as QC and builds.

A PRS is probably the ONLY production guitar I would buy sight unseen. You won't have an issue...;)

You'll be fine - jignant said it exactly!

0 complaints here. They're probably the best product guitars along with Musicman, imo.

Notoriously consistent in quality.

Which means if you get the bleahs playing one in a nice shop, the one you buy sight unseen is gonna do exactly the same thing to ya. ^)

I find it sort of unsettling that the rich orthodontist or day trader is gonna take home a PRS that has no more and no less spark than the one I might obsess over. A guy who has never played a guitar with any sense of purpose in his life. ^(

Guess you can't have everything. How do you decide which one to choose if they're all great?
