We never lost power here. But Bethesda, Rockville was a nighmare this morning. No traffic signals and they were plowing into each other all over the place. The office had no power... could not even get our cells to work....so....WE WENT HOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm lovin having a Monday off.

I'm at work, but it took me over 2 hours to get here. Why didn't I take the MARC train?

I lost power for about 20 minutes yesterday, I knew it was going to be bad today because I never lose power.

Just about ever traffic light was out in bethesda this morning but traffic didn't seem as bad as I would have expected.

Our neighbors a couple blocks away lost power at the peak of the storm yesterday at 3:30. PEPCO is telling them that they won't have it back before Wednesday AM at the earliest, and that with the weather, they may want to find somewhere cooler to go for the next 24-36 hours. We're hosting their kids/Golden Retriever and charging their laptops/cellphones for now.

Fortunately, we just have a lot of small branches and twigs in the yard. It was pretty rough for a lot of people getting in this morning. I took my time getting to K St. via Metro and no hitches, but saw plenty of traffic out there.

My office in Germantown is powered-up fine, unfortunately. Didn't even know about the outages until our waiter mentioned it at lunch. It was a hell of a storm though, so not too surprised. Crazy lightning and thunder!
