Someone recently posted a link for a web site that links into Craig's List. It allows to you search for an item without having to go into each city or state. If someone has the link, can they please post it here? It was nice tool to help find things fast.
thanks,

I wasn't too impressed with craiglook. Try this: http://www.searchtempest.com/

Craigslist is pretty aggressive about stopping access to sites like this. I've always found the best way is just to search Google using the " site:craigslist.org " trick.

Pardon my ignorance, but why would CL care? Does it load down their severs or something?

Their philosophy is that they want to keep things local. For some reason, they don't want people buying from another city. I've seen them put a stop to several sites that let you search the entire database of cities.
Another good option (CL + Ebay)

This. Of the very few times I've sold something on CL, if a potential buyer asked if I'd be willing to ship something somewhere, I'd politely tell them "local only". That is the whole point of going CL instead of going eBay or some other method (such as the emporiums).
