It probably has more to do with the amperage of the amplifier.

The power an amp draws from the wall is MUCH higher than its rated output power.

Don't do it! I repeat DON'T DO IT! You will mess up a ton of stuff. Voodoo specifically says to NOT plug an amp there! EMPHASIS ON THE YELLING BY TEXT!:D

The accesory outlet is only for lighter loads (AC-powered pedals or the power supply for a Whammy etc). Trying to power an amp from that outlet could cause damage to the PP2. Just use a regular power strip.
