I have a few of his cd's. My favorite is "Firewire". What other cd's does he have that are similar? I like Saphire Blue...but Fingerprints is a bit too...mellow.

Try Last Nite or Renegade Gentlemen.

'Firewire' is kind of atypical for a Larry Carlton effort so you might want to try another atypical effort: Renegade Gentleman. It's a collaboration with Nashville harmonica legend, Terry McMillan, and is a much more straightforward blues/rock album than anything else in the Carlton catalogue.

Last Nite is a classic, definitely non-snoozer, but a little more fusiony than the bluesy ones you mention. His best imho.
Renegade Gentlemen is awesome, and almost rock. The least "lite jazz" of any of his. Has this wild harp player on it.
