V30 Break In Question

I read somewhere that a V30 breaks in pretty quickly compared to other speakers. Is this true?

How many hours of pumping music through a V30 will break that speaker in?

Ken, I've heard the opposite. I've never owned a pair of them, though. Of the two I have at the moment, one has time on it and one does not. Not much help, am I?

Just pound them, whether with the stereo or your guitar signal, they'll get there. If my Scumbacks were any indication, when they finally get there, you'll definitely hear the change in overall tone. I like to put at least a dozen hours on them with the stereo over a few afternoons when I'm out doing other things. Stuffing couch cushions on each side of the cab keeps the roar down, lol. I live alone at the moment, though, and this doesn't get in the way of keeping the peace with a spouse.
