Maybe I should elaborate.
There's a used 57 Deluxe RI in the emporium for $1000, which is the same price the Voxes are being liquidated at right now, making them comparable. (In addition, I figure Fender's marketing inflates the price of their amps enough to further equal the prices of the two...)

The Fender
USA hand built, top quality parts.

Honestly, the Deluxe is quite an easy circuit to build but components vary enough to make the Deluxe appeal to buyers because of the earned brand name association. $1000 is a good deal but I honestly think the Heritage is about the greatest sounding Vox amp to roll off the line in the past 10 years. I can't believe the line is being phased out and sold at fire sale prices. They are phenomenal sounding amplifiers. And tonally, the very opposite of a 5E3 tweed. You need to reconcile your objective but the Vox is like two of the greatest tone stack Vox amps in one box.

I was under the impression that the Vox Heritage series was top quality parts and handwired as well (but I don't know who did the wiring...)

They've (Vox) got a brand new line of handwired amps.
The Vox
China hand built, top quality parts.
;)
...but I dig Vox, and have Vox Heritage amps...and the new Hand Wired series that replaced the Heritage series are very interesting.
I also have an all tube Fender Deco Tone amp...so as someone posted, what sounds are you going for, Fender or Vox?

I haven't played the Fender Deluxe, but I did have a Victoria 20112 for a while. Very nice tone, but flexibility was not its strong point. I have an AC15H1TV now and it has a lot of tone options and sounds great. Great deal at the used prices you see nowadays. But if you're looking for the tweed sound, then get the Fender.
I'd like to try the new Vox handwired amps too, although I wish they kept the EF86.

Was posted a bit, that the Vox was only part handwired,
and uses a different Blue, not the English made Blue.
I actually like sound of the amp, almost bought one of the
Mahogany cabinet ones. But couldn't get over the quality
of the cab, not well done at all.

I'm interested in the new Vox amps but my interest will wane or gain momentum based on first & foremost: the price & then the sound.
It will need to BLOW me away because the AC15TV isn't just in the same ballpark as the best Vox amps, it's in the on deck circle. And it's presently a steal. Older Vox owners are a very hard bunch to satisfy because of the crazy versions that come out bearing their name, but there are vintage Vox owners playing world class stages with the Heritage series amps and putting their prizes back in the house.
Still, I love was looking at the new Vox handwired amps {after learning about them in this thread!} and they look OUTSTANDING!!!!
Also, 15 Vox Watts is equal to 40 Fender watts. At least my ears tell me so. :)

They're completely different sounding amps. You could make a case for either. What sound do you want?
