Hahah, never thought I'd be posting this. Anyway, I've always had my hairline pretty high up around the temples my whole life. Recently I've been noticing/ imagining less hair in that area. Baldness isn't In my family, but I am freaking out nonetheless. Maybe it's my OCD, I'm not sure. The front and top are the same as always, so not male pattern baldness. I thought about using rogain as a preventative measure, but aparently it wouldn't treat my situation (only for top of head, front balding). I am 27. Is it normal to lose more hair around the temple area and not be losing all my hair?

I no longer care about losing my hair. I'm long married and my kids will soon both be teenagers. Why bait the hook after you caught the fish?! :D

I was freaking out when I was 20 because I saw some hair in the bathroom drain :eeks I went to the Doc and he asked how much hair my Mom's Dad had?? .... I told him he has a full head of hair, and then he said not to worry. He was right! So take a look at your Grandpa's hairline and there is a good chance you'll be the same.

That's an old wives tale. My maternal grandfather was bald as a cue ball by his 30's, me not at all.

Just shave it dude. Women love the smooth head thing w/a cool soul patch or something. Don't do the comb over....

Instead of shaving my head, I've decided to shave my ass and walk backwards.

In the words of Def Leppard: "Let It Go"
Let it rock, yeah
Let it roll, let it
Let it go, let it go
You gotta let it rock, come on
Let it roll, yeah just let it go
I remember worrying about the temple region when I was about your age. I even went through a Rogaine period and was convinced it was working. I'm 36 now, and am losing more hair every day. I decided it's not worth it to pay $50/bottle for something that may grow 4 more hairs while 100 more fall out by the hour. I kind of miss the hair I had, but what are you gonna do? :(

Dare I say it's a definite improvement? :p
