Hi I have tried to search for this but not finding it..
I have a celestion greenback with code DD15W.
April 15,1971. But what does the W at the end stand for?

I fished in that post and while it is a super reference, it is 40 pages long and so I just hoped somebody who knows the simple answer to this simple question could just do me a solid and give me the straight answer.

Celestion has confirmed that it conveys specific information about the inspector of that particular piece (and the circular stamp that often appears confirms inspection to certain standards).

Thanks. I will pop up in "the big thread" soon because I just popped the back and interestingly, one of my quad has a "celestion" label and DD1 date. The others have transitional "rola-celestion" labels and DD15 or DD16 dates. Solder joints look unmessed to me. So I'll post pics in the big thread.
Funny thing... I think the speakers look real but there are bunch of jerkoff fake Jim Marshall signatures inside. Next to one of the signatures, in plain printing, is written "bull sh**". Funny.
But I might have struck gold on the speaker quad!
Is it conceivable that April 1971 is square on the bubble and an original quad could have gone out with a combination of labels?
Anyway I'll repost this in the big thread when I get my pics in order.
THansk for the help about hte "w"

Sure, that's completely possible. Usually find old labels through 1970 and beginning of 1971, then "transition" in early '71.
