bill webb of fulton-webb amps in austin does them. it's a two switch add-on to the tc chorus that simulates the leslie rotary sound using the tc's pm or flange mode for best effect. the switch on left is slow/fast and the switch on the right is a 'brake'. when on slow speed the 'brake' can be used to ramp between slow and fast. pretty cool for b3 rhythm type stuff.

Thanks for the info. A rampable leslie sim with t.c. sound quality is tempting. I love the ramping feature on the Line 6 roto-machine but don't care for it's "digititius" it leaves on my guitar and amp tone. I'll have to look into this mod. Cheers.

How is the BYOC Tonebender Clone?
I love it. I'm not a big fuzz aficionado nor do I know much about them, but I was intrigued by the Led Zep references at the BYOC web site, so I got one and I just love doing those bombastic Page riffs with it.

This is the plan. An NYC board with a sloping rear platform. The seven lower buttons select flavors of OD (like radio buttons). The seven top buttons can be added to provide Wah, Compressor, Volume cut or boost, mid boost.
There will be 2 'guest' slots on this board for the ever rotating set of OD pedals. I currently have all the pedals shown except the 2 Lovepedals (to be ordered), the Kar Krash and sbeq (incoming).
The Gig Rig has 10 independent channels, a tuner out and two amp outputs (one isolated). Using dip switches, each button can be programmed to select any combination of pedals. Non-bypass pedals welcome here due to fact that they are only in circuit when they are on. :)
Note: This pedalboard works best on PowerPoint, not on stage!
Note 2: A final set of "To the 'Bay" pedals include an OCD, V-Stack Tweedy, Dinosaural Tube Bender and second Bad Monkey.

It's actually up and running except for 4 pedals and the board itself - more of a pedal floor really!
I did the picture to work out the layout and dimensions of the NYC board.

Being new to this site, I have scrolled through this thread and found some really cool posts.
Question: Am I the only one with my PODxt mounted on my pedal board? I don't have pics right now but I run the PODxt | rest of my pedals through an AB box to different channels of my amp when I want a specific sound from the POD that I can't get from my pedals... Anyone else have a PODxt mounted with their other pedals on a board?

I think it's just because there seems to be more jazz/blues players on TGP and as cool as Z.Vex pedals are...they just don't typically fit the mold for that style.

I was rewiring, and doing some minor swappage, and took a few shots before I buttoned it back up. Timmy in, CM chorus, Maxon Flange, and EVH phase 90 out. Line 6 Mod pro covers modulation very well.

Ryan,
I see you've still got your Cold Fusion. Are you still using it for a Klon alternative? How's it sound?
It sounds amazing with my P90 hollowbody, but my Strat doesn't like it nearly as much. I've had the Banzai for 3 years now and I hate to see it go, but I have a sale pending on it right now. My new rule is that my pedals have to sound good with EACH guitar, I can't afford to have a board for each guitar. I really hate to see it go. I'm planning on having Mike at MJM build me a custom Blues Devil, but damn if this continued talk about the Zendrive doesn't have me second guessing.

Hey fellow gearheads,
Longtime lurker, thought I'd post a picture of my pedal board as my introductory post. I mainly play in the psychadelic rock genre, if I had to define my style. Maybe the word 'style' is being generous :)
I was playing with a band pretty regularly, but took a hiatus for awhile. I play for fun now, but who knows, maybe I'll hook up with a recreational band again. I really enjoy reading the posts on this forum, lots of cool and knowledgable people here!
PS: My main guitars are a Fender Eric Johnson Strat and a Jackson USA SLS. I run into a Dr Z Maz 18 Jr NR Head with an Avatar 2x12 cab. The rig works really well for getting a great variety of sounds to work with (can't ever have too many colors on the palette :) ).

has anyone tried to mount a pod onto a pedal board? I had an idea to make a board that i could mount a pod in (under the main board) that was hooked up to the foot controler on top, then have a nother row above the foot controler devoted to stomp boxes. Then I could switch between the two setups with an a/b box or something. I always wonderd if anyone else had done anything like that...

They used to sell an adapter that allowed you to hook a POD up to an mic stand. The bottom of that piece might give you enough flat surface to use velcro. The tonebone pedal board I use has holes drilled at regular intervals underneath the carpet surface. That allows you to use those long plastic zip strips/cable ties that you can get at Home Depot when all else fails. I used them on my mini A/B switch (check out the photo of my board) to keep it in place. There was so little velcro surface that it would come loose if I accidentally kicked it in the dark. The cable tie fixed that problem. You might be able to use a few of those joined together to hold the POD on a board. Or you may just want to use that mic stand adapter to keep it at waist level for easy access.
I've got the XT Live for headphone practicing and I love it (Especially hooking my Ipod up to the auxiliary input and jamming along to mp3's).

I kind of did this at one point when I used an AX2 - it sounded much better with a real pedal in front of it, so I used the clean amp sims with the digital mod and delay effects , and ran pedals into them to get so live interaction with the distortion....... but it wasnt on A/B sitch - it was pedals into AX2 amp sim and time effects...... sounded pretty good to after changing out t he speakers......
I still want to try one of those POD live thingies.....

If you get one, PM me and I'll send you some of the patches I've created during my tinkering (they sound much better than some of those godawful presets). That's the best thing about the XTLive, the killer software interface allows you to swap patches so easily!

here's what I did:
did a bunch of research on various makers boards, sizing, etc..
went through several quick and cheap ones with double backed tape
once I knew the size I wanted I did the folllowing:
Went to home depot and bought a 2x2 piece of precut 1/2 plywood (as I was out of stuff at my house)
Cost: 3.76
I bougth a roll of 15ft x 2" wide heavy duty velco
7 strips of it 2 feet wide means I get a 24w x 14" high covered board
Had the guy cut the board to 14 on their big "table saw"
Then I started covering the board with the fuzzy stuff
Piece of cake
The velcro was steep, 26 bucks
Two small handles for like 2 bucks a pop
I used the other side of the velcro and cut to the right sizes to cover the bottom of all my pedals/power supply, etc..
I can move the pedals around to whereever I want them and it's always a matter of experimentation to see where I want them and how I want them wired
I have changed it numerous times
Piece of cake, less than 50 bucks and 30 mins of work tops
24w x 14h should work for you

ccoker,
That is pretty much what we're doing! After doing the requisite research and seeing something I could build for a few bucks selling for $100+, and working with another fireman who is a great woodworker, I decided to build my own. I too visited HD and paid like 9 bucks for a length of "C channel". Went to AutoZone and bought a 3X6 piece of automotive carpet for about 8 bucks. I had read here I believe that some autocarpet wasn't too good. I took a piece of the "hook side" of velcro with me to check it out. That stuff held like superglue! Then for a couple of handles, 4 rubber feet, and some screws - we're talking about 23 dollars total! My woodworking buddy had a great piece of 3/4 inch furniture grade hardwood that he "donated". I'm really looking forward to wrapping this up. Now comes the "cable nightmare"!!! Does it ever end? Thanks for the reply. Blue Skies, Brian

Finally got my homemade one done. I used an Ikea "Shoe shelf" cut it up, strengthened it, cut down the angle (but kept an angle to it) used a rivet gun to add a holder underneath for the power.
I had a aluminium case that fits it perfectly (not shown) and it is really making my life easier. Love it. Used Velcro and George L, and kept my vol and expression (for the Mojovibe) offboard. Made my own right angle power barrel connectors.
This is what I started with (a couple bucks from Ikea in Norway):

I meant to mention also from above, I ended up epoxying some metal plates to the bottom of the Visual Sound pedal (the one that looks like a baseball diamond) because it is so wide and has feet that kept it from the velcro. This happened on several pedals actually, so I built up with metal plates epoxyed under until the plate plus the velcro just barely met.
This way I can also use the pedal on the floor still when I don't want to use the board, and it won't really skid.
It took me a while to figure that out.
Love to have any feedback at all on it.

I haven't returned home yet with my Furman, but when I do, then I just need to cable everything, get a KR Doubler, Strobo-Stomp tuner, Red Witch Deluxe Moon Phaser, Emma Discumbobulator, mod my wah pedal, fix my volume pedal, then I think I'm done.... then maybe eventually add a second loop station (marry it's output with the "Echo" signal chain, so it's independent from the other loop station and from live playing, it's OK with me if the same selection of amp/amps is shared by the Deluxe Memory Man and the ubiquitous second Loop Station (maybe RC-20XL, get that undo thing going and have them both in true stereo)...

greets!
New guy here, 1st post. What a great place with some way cool gear! Lots of great info presented in a mature and respectful manner as opposed to some of the other forums online.
Been a lurker for few weeks and finally got around to taking a few photos of my pedal board. Just completed the re-configuration after receiving the Analogman Mini-BiComp for Christmas from my girlfriend (thanks K!). I've retired my early 80's Ibanez CP9 compressor for the BiComp.
I haven't had a chance to 'dial in' all the pedals yet since I haven't played 'em at band volume thru my full rig. However, it sounds great thru my practice amp! A dead mint, all tube mid 60s Thomas Organ Vox Pathfinder for recording and low watt play. One of my own personal finds of a lifetime for a ridiculous $65 at a Mom and Pop organ store!! Sorry, I digress.

I agree...when I was building mine I just took a few days, casually logging in and going through the different boards. Learned a lot, got a lot of ideas. I think it is great that it is all in one thread.
Otherwise, you'd just have to look at thread after thread.
You might miss some, or think you'd already been through one.
I like it in one thread a lot!

but sounds good if you guys want to keep it in this one

Back up and running with a fresh new board, power supply and relatively new pedals. I had been using a Furman board but I'm loving this Pedaltrain 2 and Voodoo Labs PP2 Plus. Effects are Teese wizard -> Peterson Strobostomp -> HBE Psilocybe -> Keeley mod MT-2 -> Keeley mod DS-1 -> Keeley Fuzz Head -> ZVex Trem Probe

Ok, there's this freeware image viewer / editor called IrfanView. Some of you folks who can't resize images simply have to get it. Then resize your images to at least 900 pixels wide or less. Cool?
Here's a link... download... use... enjoy.

Fabulous! I think that is the ideal board. A few different pedals for a variety of drive / gain tones, a phaser for modulation and an echo. Simple yet more than adequate. Mine is similar in scope, except with a wah. Vox V848 --> EVH P90--> RC booster --> (waiting on a mcfuzz) --> (waiting on a timmy) --> Sniper mod GE-7 (for a boost) --> BYOC delay. I'll get pics up when the last pedals fall into a place.

Neat idea using the shoe shelf. I like it.

Thanks!
All in all it was fun, but in the end I pretty much confirmed what many that have gone before me warned....that it would have been cheaper, quicker, and probably better in the long run if I had just bought one of the nice pro pedalboards out there.
Sadly...it really is true. Even with using a 49 kroner shoe-shelf as a basis :)
But it WAS fun...

My small pracitice board. It's a Radio Stack (thick) plastic case I bought at a thrift store, many years ago. I add a piece of foam on the top to hold the pedals in place, so I don't need velcro. Everything is battery powered accept for the Line 6(which I use the Line 6 power supply). Never had the any problems with this simple set up. Don't mine unplugging the pedals. I take this to pracitice and small jams, although I could easily gig with this pedalboard. I Love it :dude:dude:dude:dude:dude

The wear on the KOT and on the Way Huge pedals isn't from the case, it's from my stepping on them, and also from being carried around loose to rehearsals & small gigs. I don't worry about that stuff too much, I bought all those pedals at list prices when they first came out so I'm still ahead of the game. Call me crazy, but I like to listen to them more than I like to look at them. I sold all my vintage guitars & now in my old age I've become the anti-collector!

Thanks a lot Brian. The board is 17 X 31. I intentionally left a bit of room as you can see for a E/H flanger(which I haven't bought yet). I know there are "better" flangers out there, but for years I have been a fan of old Alex Lifeson sounds and the Electric Mistress is what he used :) I haven't built a road case for this yet, but it is in the works. I don't currently play with any bands, I'm primarily a "jazz guy", and that style of music doesn't have a following where I live, so the board is content just sitting at my house. Again, thanks for your comment. Blue Skies, Brian

What's underneath the shelf?
Absolutely essential for the "Brown Sound". Not true bypass, though - seems to muddy up the tone somewhat depending on the day's fiber content.
Nothing under the shelf except all the excess power wire. I may move the Pedal Power under the shelf to free up some space eventually.

loop 1 -> dunlop original crybaby
loop 2 -> TC Jauernig Diabolical Gristle Tone Manipulator overdrive -> Tonebone Hot British
loop 3 -> empty (thinking of getting a tremolo, which'll go on the top right of my board)
loop 4 -> boss eq-20 -> ISP Noise Decimator
loop 5 -> Boss DD-20
Loooper output -> Catalinbread Super Chile Picoso
I am thinking of getting another SCP to put first in my chain, or maybe after the Diamond. Oh, and the little green dealie on the bottom left is an external tap tempo pedal for the DD-20

Nice, Moe! I love to see a DGTM on a board (I'm expecting Gristle King #2 today).
I need to get around to putting a board together, but when I actually play I tend to only use a drive pedal and a tuner (and sometimes delay). I don't know if it's because that's all I need or I'm incredibly lazy!

Moe45673, if you don't mind a stupid question. These loops in your looper...you can turn any number of them on at any given time, is that correct?
I mean, you can just hit the Wah loop (which had the wah alone in it) as well as the distortion loop, and then you would have both, in the order the loops are setup? correct?
I had the same question Stompboxblues. I don't think these loopers are midi-controlled so you can turn on say 2 or 3 effects at the same time with just one stomp. I may be wrong, but I'm guessing that if you want more than one effect on at the same time you have to step on more than one button. I'm getting the Axess MCF5 midi controller which I'm pretty sure can turn your effects off and on in any combination (along with the GRX4 router/switcher). My guess is that regular loopers just take effects in and out of line with the direct guitar signal a straighter signal path to the amp. Maybe someone else here can help us out. I may start another post about it.

Besides the signal path to the amp that you mentioned, you might want to do this for pedals that have crappy bypasses (you're basically adding a true bypass to the pedal) and for layout reasons (you have a bunch of pedals that are in a difficult place to step on).

from right to left...guitar > Barber LTD > HAO Sole Pressure > Ibanez CS9 > Toadworks Redux Echo. The small round guy is the on/off for the fat boost on my amp. Using a VS One Spot and daisy chain for this group...no noise, no hums.
Pretty darn happy with them all. I'd like to find something similar to the Sole Pressure with more tone control, it needs a touch more treble, or clarity in the upper frequencies.

Very nice board, you appear to have something I lack...self control. That's a great size, great set of tones...I like that very much. How do you like the BBOD? Why did you lose the TriBooster?, mine is never coming off. How do you keep such a small board, avoiding the GAS.
well it's quite simple, I won't allow myself to buy a bigger board than this one... Im'sure if I buy a bigger one it would be full within weeks.
The TriBooster is a great pedal, but I prefer the TIM nowadays for celan boost due to it's tone shaping options.
BBOD is killer!

Hey man, sorry for the slow response!
First of all, thanks for the kind words. I couldn't have done 90% of this without you guys nor scott from axeandyoushallreceive.com
Secondly, you're right, stompbox. I hit loop 1 switch, and only loop 1 (the wah) will go on, bringing it into my signal. If I hit loop 2, the Dirt pedals will come into my signal.
If both loops 1&2 are on, then the signal will go into the wah and then into the dirt pedals.
Mr. Boggs at loooper.com does have a custom option allowing you to switch the order of any two loops you please, for an added fee of course :D
And Phil, you're damn tootin' about the DGTM. How much better can an OD get?
Great products!

Wow dude! Pretty expensive stuff you got there! Could you inform me a bit about the Pete Cornish stuff, what are the different pedals and what do they do. Just briefly, what do you use them for, would be really cool..

Hi Tone Ranger...
Yeah Petes stuff is awesome, this is my pedal board you can see my rack in my webshots.
Ok on PC's stuff.
The first pedal is a Line Driver / tuner mute, , basically a unit gain buffer/line driver with a tuner out and mute option for my strobostomp.
I have three OD/distortion pedals, a P2 which is an extreme fuzz, and a G2 which is a more Fuzz Face sound, and a SS2 which give you a Fender type OD. This gives me a three chanel pre..
The next PC pedal I has is his TES which is the Tape Echo simulator, a Boss DD2 converted.
My PC Super Chorus a converted Boss CE2 is not showing in this pic and I will update it.
Lastly I have a PC TB-83extra which is a treble boost PC made for Brian May I uses a booster to puch my AC 30.
Other pedals are a Chandler Tube Driver, a EH 1003 Big Muff, a ProCo RatII, an Electiric Mistress, a Phase 90, a Demeter Tremulator, a Line 6 Verbzilla, a Line 6 Rotomachine.
There is several change to this board, in goes another boss dd2, and CTD and a demeter compulator and out goes the boss Cs-2, Big Muff, the Rat, the Verbzilla, and the Rotomachine .
This is pretty much a copy of Gilmours All tube system, I use George L's and it has a custom made pwer supply..
I use it for live, and recording work, I still do some Gilmour shows with it.
Cheers

I like the deluxe--first because I like LED's on my pedals. On most settings you'll know when its on. But, if I take a break and come back, sometimes I don't remember what was left on and off... more of a personal preference I guess.
I don't think it's "true" stereo, as in you get ping-pong bouncing effects. I think one output is phase inverted... as you can tell, I have not tried it in stereo.

James-
I don't use the TC as a 'chorus' per se. I use it for a rotary effect. That is what it excels as for me. I have the analogman for a normal chorus.

Check out the audio samples for this one- a very cool stereo tremolo... However, I don't think I'll need or even be able to work it in with my setup, as I am planning on splitting my signal with the Red Witch DMP, and one of my amps is driving a Leslie cabinet. I'm sure there will be all kinds of crazy sounds at my disposal between that, stereo delay w/ chorus/vibrato, putting an envelope filter after the wet output of the DLP to increase the rate of sweep, mixing signals, loops, all kinds of crazy s@#.
Nonetheless, the samples sound awesome. Just going back and listening to them makes me want one. I'll have to wait and see how much I can get out of the tremolo on the DLP first (which I think is more of the amp tremolo variety, not the choppy stuff)... I'm thinking of adding a second loop station (RC-20XL) and if I did this, too, I'd have to marry the stereo output to the Deluxe Memory Man's input on the switcher, which would be awesome... a call to Loooper.com, should fix any hairy patching issues...

Sounds a bit pretentious, eh? My boards will be pretty cool when they're finished, and markedly more complicated (much to the detriment of my wallet and brain!) than many on here, but I'm not going to say it would "blow" anybody else's "away"... Now I'm curious to see what is so amazing about his board.

I didn't mean to sound pretentious or anything, but i believe my statement to be true. others may disagree if my pedalboard concept isn't really your style. I'm not finished sorting out the odds and ends of it, and won't post pics until i'm finished. there are TONS of great pedalboards on this thread and i have learned a LOT that i've applied to my board. i suppose i might as well just buck up and post pics as soon as i get my next step finished. and yes, worlds will be rocked. sorry if anyone was offended by my statement, i didn't mean it that way. but, that said, this IS a place where people post their pedalboard porn and argue for days and days about something as inconsequential as tuner A vs. tuner B, so it's not like my braggadocio is really all that out of place here.:)

I'm in a shoegaze/dreampop band, so delay is a big part of the sound. That said, my pedalboard is not unlike mold in the way it grows... I use two amps: 1. Silvertone 1484 2. Ampeg J12T My main guitar is a Yamaha SA 30-T (Hollowbody w/ two single coils)
The only pedal I don't have on my board is a Danelectro Back Talk that I just got off eBay.
I'm still playing around with my signal chain, but right now it's the following:
Guitar -> DinoFuzz -> MT-2 -> PS-3 -> CE-5 (then I split it as follows):
1. DanEcho -> Deluxe Electric Mistress -> Deluxe Memory Man -> RV-2 -> Silvertone 1484
2. Deluxe Electric Mistress -> Ampeg J12T
I love the PS-3 more than anything. I usually leave it set on #7.
The way I have the two Memory Men set up, I get a faux ping-pong effect from each amp with the one going to the Ampeg delaying double time that of the one going to the Silvertone.
And yeah, I should get some of those George L cables. Do you guys think that one package (the $50 one, make your own thing) would be enough for my board?

One of my friends installed the LEDs for me. We were both concerned about them adding noise to the signal, but so far they are quiet. From what I saw, it's a relatively easy process. I never understood why EHX didn't put bypass indicators on those pedals.

Mine was really bright too, but I had to adjust the internal trim pot. As for the exterior knobs:
volume: 10:00-11:00
tone: 10:00
gain: 3:00
rhythm: 8:00-9:00

You're running everything off batteries then?
How's the Squeeze Factor? How's it play with the Eternity?
Interesting to see the vibe so far down the signal chain.
dividedsky
01-22-2006, 09:11 PM
Thanks! Yep, everything is running off batteries. I love the Squeeze Factor. Played and owned many comps but this is my favorite. I guess I just really love the orange sound. I really love the blend knob in that you can go from full compression to totally clean, which the Barber Tone Press also does but no other comp I've ever found. The one thing totally unique to it from any comp I've tried is that when you adjust the compression the volume does not change at all. This is a big plus in my book. The Squeeze Factor gets along well with other pedals but from my experience it really needs to be set at unity gain or just a touch above if you want your pedals to sound similar with it on and with it off. Like if I turn up the volume on it it really makes the Eternity growl, same thing with my wah. I don't like this so I have to keep it at unity. As for the vibe, it just has to be after the comp. I don't run OD and vibe at the same time (blasphemy I know) so sometimes it is before the Eternity, sometimes after just depends where it is on the floor when I am plugging them in. :)

But it the fastest tracking octaver I've found also goes really really low like the G on my low E string :Devil

I really like the Power Driver. The Dual Drive wasn't my bag at all in my rig but this is such a musical boost/OD. It gives a very sweet push to the signal. Highs are very juicy and round, the bass is tight (I'm hearing it as if there is a cut to the very low bass frequencies which seeem to make for a nice tight sound) and it cleans up quite alright too.
Set like in the pic the gain knob is shortly before going into a fuzzier edge so it'S very lively but still smooth.

Stilll have the board and the GigRig. I have been weeding out my large effects stash to just the best of the best and I envisage putting together the best stuff into a setup with the GigRig some time soon...
Maybe SunFace, DAM Red Rooster, Power Driver, EchoCzar, Powerglide, Klon...
We'll see - the small board rocks abyway!

i'm still on the list for the echoczar and the baby. for me, i lately purchased an maxon ad-900 (i think it was the very last through a normal shop.. funny enough at thomann.de), an old ibanez ad-80 (with the metal plate, not the rubber underground).. and will buy a dmm next week i think.
man you must be in modulated delay heaven with the angelbaby! how did you pay it with all the tax in the package??
and what kind music do you play?

Wow nice board!~
Curious..
Any Signal loss?
What happens when you use pure clean tone, no brightness in the tone?
What amp do you play through?
Yeah, i do have some signal loss through one of my loops on my double looper. im thinking about buying a vht valvulator buffer/line driver to fix the problem though.
my pure clean tone sounds okay at the moment...its not as bad as youd think. but i think it will sound better once the valvulator is in there.
as for amps i use 2 vox ad50vt valvetronix hybrid amps and usually keep them both set to the ac30 amp modeling setting. that setting sounds fantastic when i use my overdrive/distortion pedals. i think vox did a really good job replicating the ac30 tone with the valvetronix amps.

i think the pedal youre talking about is the line 6 tap tremolo pedal...i use the pan function on it mainly to pan between my 2 amps.

I guess if you dont use much clean tone then the signal loss wont matter as much. I find that more non-true bypass pedals make a bigger difference with my clean tone, rather than overdrives. Looses chimeyness.
Have fun!

Hi there stereotypy! Greetings to you in Berlin man!
So how are you liking that AD900 - nice unit? The ECzar + ABaby is a great combination for sure... nice to hear you're on the list - there can't be many of these in Germany yet.
I play Brit Pop actually and the Tone Czar stuff fits in very nicely for that.
If you drop me an email to the address in my profile I might have a suggestion on that tax/duty issue...
Regards
Chris

Just keeping up with the times here... and quite possibly the most posts on this thread :D.
I have been using and decided to keep the Radial Dragster on the pedalboard. I really like what it does. I bought it mainly to make my wireless useable for me; was *very* happy with it there and tossed it on the board too. I pull it off the board and put it back on the guitar strap when I use the wireless, but otherwise leave it on the board.

So what's the Radical do? Sorry, I'm lost...is it a buffer?
You MUST be deaf if you really do run the Balance with the VOL that high! OUCH!
Is the Bi-Comp the best you've played? Do you favor one side or the other?

Scott P, how was your BBB modded? I remember you mentioning something about it earlier.. I'm having bad case of GAS for the BBB.. How do you use yours? What you bought it for? :) Many questions, I'm just trying to figure out the applications its most useable for..

The Radial is a "load" box for the pickups. It works, and well. Impressed.
The BBB is modded; up that "loud" isn't really very loud, but there you are. Sean set it up for less fuzz and more distortion after I talked to him and before he made it. Sounds great. I use it for single line stuff and uber raunch chording when I need to be *really* rude sounding.

Small question. I've thought some aout this, and tried similar ideas out, but...when you use a load box, does it in any way make you lose the effect of the guitars' volume knob on OD's or Fuzzs'? It seems like somtimes they "need" to be first in line, so that adjusting it lets me dial in how much dist I will have. On the other hand, I could just set it right, adjusted from the git-go.

Gentlemen,
Finally I got my pedalboard in a presentable conndition. Since I joined TPG and started following the threads, my board has changed quite alot. I'm beginning to really like it now!! Check it out!

Scott Peterson, question sir, you used to have a Axess BS-2 Buffer/Splitter on your board, why the change to the Radial?

Thanks McFly, I'm enjoying it too!
The Vox is a Clyde McCoy. No mods, absolute winner in my wah shootout with a Bud Wah and a Teese Picture Wah. I dig the really wet quack it gives!

I made some recent changes - nothing major, but i figured i'd update -

This board goes direct to the input of my Mesa DC-3. I added the Timmy and SHO (which is now back with Zack getting repaired). A Doobtone Microbuffer2 is under the shelf.

This is my effect loop board. The bottom for the TB loop on the right is still drying, so i haven't wired it yet. When I do, the rest of this board will be wired with George L's

I use this RockOn Pedal Max board to do solo acoustic gigs:
Takamine Santa Fe > Sansamp Acoustic DI- effects loop send >
Boss TU2 tuner (daisy chain powering other pedals)
Guyatone ST2 comp
Keeley Sparkledrive
Guyatone FL3 flanger
Wasabi delay
Boss RC20 Loopstation
> effects loop return- Sansamp Acoustic DI
Behringer 1202FX mixer (phantom powering Sansamp DI) > JBL Eon powered 15"
There's a lot of tone-sucking going on, but my Tak is so bright it doesn't bother me. This board has a small footprint but gives me a nice range of textures to spice up my acoustic gigs. The Sparkledrive adds crunch to the clean acoustic for the hard rock-ish tunes, and the compressor is for a solo boost over the looped rhythm guitar.

my humble offering, just set it up today. the dano's on the way out, when i find a nice echo/delay box to replace it. the vox needs repair, i may decide to replace it altogether, dunno yet. zendrive on the way, luckily i have plenty of room left.
