This1smyne:

Is the Spatial delay analoge sounding, tape sounding, etc? I cant find much on it. I assume its that black pedal in the middle? Can you explain its features/knobs at all?

Also, can you get Katana tones from the Time machine boost or are they totally different? Do you use both of them as boosts?

Thanks!

The spatial has 2 delay times, short and long, which are controled by the 4 leftmost knobs (length and mix). the top right knob is a master effect level, and underneath that is a tone control. The tone control lets you dial in from dark analog to digital sounds. i like it a little on the brighter side, but its more of a analog sound overall... you might be able to get some info off tonesafari.com, thats where i got it from donald rusk.

The TMB has two channels as well, with the 'modern' side being a katana. I've confirmed this with robert at keeley electronics. The vintage side is totally different, more like a treble boost. The keeley equivalent of that is the java boost. i use the katana as my solo boost, and the time machine to push my TS and TIM (or when i need clean edge-esque sounds).
In theory if i were to put the TMB after my gain stages it would act the same as the katana as a boost, but i rather like it where it is ;)

wow...i saw a time machine boost on the emporium and almost went for it. I have a katana and love it to death. Why not get the Time machine boost with the added versatility???

im gonna look into the delay as well. Im looking for a tape like sound for EJ style ambience and solo sounds

thanks for your help!

Hello everybody!

This is my new board, which I finished last weekend. It's built into a flight case originally for a light controller desk. I built several risers into the case to have a proper height and to run the cables underneath. A Voodoo Lab pedal power 2+ is underneath the rear riser.

The signal flow is as follows:

Guitar->Switcher (DIY)->Big Jam Octave->Q-tron->Ruby Chrome Wah->Diamond J-drive->Bif Muff Clone (DIY)->CS-3->Maestro Phaser->Zombie Chorus (DIY)->Echo Park->Switcher (DIY)

I can only say: Thanks for the inspiration!

NICE! Is the Voodoo better than a Furman or SKB board? The new SKB has isolated outs.

is it a pain with that langraff on the back row to switch on the overdrive? i guess the tap tempo is more important, but do you angle your board or anything?

It not too bad. I don't switch od/dist pedals much during songs. The tim and the BMOD are a little better because they are taller. But you are right about the tap tempo. That's why I have it like this.

Lay-out, just for fun..
Topright 'Kentana' (SHO-clone/buffer/clean-boost) to be replaced by a custom Phase90 (K's 90)

OCD/RC combination might be replaced by a tremolo pedal + RC Boost
I need the OCD on my small board...

I moved the "Ed's custom Shop" sticker to have the pedal looking more like a Katana; the Kentana decal is my own -not that well played out- handywork..

AFAIK, he doesn't want to spend time on the graphics, just on the pedalbuilding..

Why the sarcasm? Is it friendly-sarcasm, or some cynism/beef directed at Ed?

It's more friendly sarcasm, as I'm sure he actually does good, quality work. My beef and the source of the sarcasm is hearing how he's knocking off other pedal builder's designs :nono (zendrive, etc...), though I'm glad to hear he doesn't try to dupe the graphics as well.

Was your pedal sold as a Katana Boost (like) circuit?

Was your pedal sold as a Katana Boost (like) circuit?

lately, there's been a lot of builders who advertise with OCD-like, Hotcake'ish pedals, but they're not openly mentioned on their sites..

There's a lot of schematics on the Net that will allow any handyman to 'get close to' or copy stuff..

As for me, I just wanted a visual copy of John Mayer's pedalboard (though I didn't get around to buying an 808, BD-2 and Aqua Puss, although I had the Replica), so the 'Kentana' is just a normal buffer/boost, but it has no grit or real 'gain'. nor does it have a pull-boost knob..

it's actually just one of those generic SHO hi-impedance buffer circuits with a huge clean boost + sparkle.. (crackle ok ;) )

so I'm the one infringing copyrighted names, more as an inside joke for my pedalboard-loving friends; I'm also one of those peoples that would want to decal over 'Harley Benton', 'Adonis' or 'SX' cheapo guitar. (I'm not selling those, because I still dig all of my guitars... And I do have some ethical feelings..)

SHO -> Katana -> Kentana
MXR, modded (non-Ed's Custom) Phase90 -> Phase90 -> K's 90

and my other plan was to get a
Modded/Painted Bad Monkey ->and name it 'Kendrive' (after Zendrive)
But there's no room for another drive pedal, nor do I have a need for it at this time..
I might however, get a BYOC Octafuzz, which I could just call Kendrive...
But that would be a pity, if I can have a whacky 'Landgraff'ish' swirly paint for the Octafuzz..

...I'm still gassing for a Kendrive though :D
Maybe that DS-1 that I gave someone to try out... 10 years ago...

here's a pic of my latest pedalboard variation (this is my main touring pedalboard. I have a smaller version I use for club gigs/one offs/sit ins/etc.):

http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k117/alschnier/pedalboard.jpg

most of the fx are the same, although a few changes were made (ie. new seymour duncan shape shifter trem, t rex replica delay, + fuel tank power supply).

the big change is in the switching system (true bypass loopers built by analogman) & new solid core copper cabling (evidence audio) throughout. it was 12 hrs. of desconstruction, soldering, & remodeling - but the results @ home sounded awesome. psyched to get it out on the road.

all patch cables are handwired/soldered using evidence audio monorail solid core copper & amphenol connectors (except for the straight plugs which are neutriks). also upgraded my in/out cables to evidence audio melody/lyric respectively.

here's the signal chain:

fender custom shop thinline tele (humbucker in neck/single coil in bridge w. bigsby)>
supersonic fuzzgun>fuzz probe>clyde wah>dod 440>comprosser>t.rex>bi-chorus>trem>a/b-tuner switcher (A goes to my lower gain setting on amp, B goes thru the MDEQ to higher gain setting)> Oldfield Marquis 30 amp

If you wonder what the Splittertoo is, that is to be expected. I asked MonkeyFX (Andi) if they could build me a unit that could split the stereo-signal from my Parker Nitefly M, such that one output sent the signals from the regular magnetic pickups, while another output could send the signals from the piezo microphones on the Parker. A switch on the guitar controls either 100% magnetic signal, or a blend of magnetic and piezo signals, and a 100% piezo signal. It's an excellent unit. :)

I'm almost done with my DIY pedal board (well, manufactured pedal board with DIY pedals):

http://home.centurytel.net/flanneldrawers/Pedalboard_2-28-2008.JPG

Signal chain:

T.A.E. Compressor-1 (Orange Squeezer clone) ->
T.A.E. Tuner mute / Buffer (Jack Orman buffer circuit / tuner out routed to StroboStomp tuner) ->
MXR script-logo Phase 45 ('nuff said )->
T.A.E. Boost-1 (dirty/treble boost -based on a Lovepedal COT50 with a tone control added) ->
T.A.E. Overdrive-1 (modified TS808 - low/medium gain - based on a Lovepedal 'burst Eternity with a soft/hard clipping switch) ->
T.A.E. Overdrive-2 (modified Bluesbreaker - low/medium gain - based on the AnalogMan KOT with a presence control and red LED clippers) ->
T.A.E. Overdrive-3 (modified TS808 - medium/high gain - based on the Landgraff DO with a fat boost switch) ->
T.A.E. Distortion-1 (modified RAT - medium/high gain - based on the Landgraff MO'D with multiple clipping options) ->
T.A.E. Distortion-2 (modified Guv'nor - medium/high gain - a modified MI Audio Crunch Box ver.2 with external presence control) ->
T.A.E. Tremolo (modified EA circuit)

I'm done for a while. I think I've got dirt pedals covered. :D

Love the ominsonic(?) that goes to 11!! :dude

Haha, yeah, cool gimmick. But it's a nice unit; very cheap and good to make you drive the preamp a little more. Good if you have an amp that bases its sound a lot on the preamp design. :)

where did you get the mini auxilliary switch ( i assume a tap tempo for the dd20 )?

As thisfire says, BTBAM makes those. It's perfect for a crowded board. I really like the soft switch it has too. Recommended!

Thanks! :)

No more confusing than a Cornish board or a looper box really. Years ago I used an ADA MIDI switcher (just a long row of identical buttons on a black enclosure) and this was very easy to use even on a dark stage.

There's no paint because, while I love building effects, I hate painting 'em. :D Also these things are just tools for me the no frills look is cool with me.

this1smyne
02-29-2008, 11:59 AM
plus, on a dark stage you just need to be familiar with your effects. even if they were painted. if you get mixed up between the delay level and time on your DD5, on the stage is the wrong time to make the adjustment.... practice helps in muscle memory knowing what is where (LEDs help too). Once i become the king of BYOC i will be looking to build something very similar.

Nope, I use it as a fancy a/b pedal. If I switch from an electric guitar to an acoustic - I just hit that pedal so it goes as a DI to the board instead of to my amp and has a ground lift so when plugged into two sources - no hum.

Fairly new here, more often on HC. Anyway, this is my current board(s). I decided instead of cramping everything onto one board, to go with two. One for dirt/wah/vol stuff the other for modulation type pedals (effects loop stuff). Logical way to sort stuff for me. I don't gig out right now, so transporting isn't an issue. Anyway, I started out with a Digitech RP-80 but decided to upgrade a bit. One thing led to another...

here's a pic of my latest pedalboard variation (this is my main touring pedalboard.

That's a very nice looking board! How's the Monorail to work with/solder?

How's the Wren?

The Wren and Cuff Red Camel is very cool. I just got it yesterday but have played with it for a few hours today. It has a lot more bass than a TS-9. When juiced with the Lovepedal Class A Boost it gets really nasty. The Wren is exactly the tone I was looking for. It really shines at louder volumes though, it gets very loud, and when loud it gets very dynamic. The harder you dig the grittier it gets. The build quality on the inside is excellent. I don't know how the newer ones are made but this one is top notch all around.

How do you like the Huck down there in the chain? I found it to ba a lot
brighter/harsher after buffers...and I sort of like it.

Is that a Woodrow? How does it clean up compared to Huck(but it would have to be first for proper clean up)? Muffled with guitar vol pot at 10 or...not?

edit:reading the post above I guess it ain't a Woodrow.

FloridaSam
03-01-2008, 07:28 PM
I just got the Huck today and the Camel yesterday so I haven't had time to try it in different spots. I'm using these through a pretty dark amp at the moment so anyhting that adds some brightness is a good thing.

I got the Lovepedal in a trade a few weeks ago. It was advertised as just "Lovepedal Boost". I emailed Sean and he said its a Class A Fet Boost (1 of 8 he made like this). Its NOT clean at all, very dirty almost tweed like (like a woodrow) but definetly a booster as its very loud and not as saturated as the Woodrow. I find it has to be right next to the TS-9 or it doesn't sound too hot. If its right next to it I can almost coax dumbley/zendrivey tones out of the TS-9. The lovepedal really makes the OCD and Red Llama sound much nastier... a good thing. Since I took this pic a few hours ago I have decided I need the Huckleberry before the Lovepedal. The Lovepedal is too much for the Huck and the huck cleans up soooo nicely when next the guitar unbuffered.

I think I'm finally gonna mount these to a proper board as after months of buying and flipping I'm really happy with these dirt pedals.

sigh. darn it.

I have the perfect solution for that:

TWO boards... (each has 5 pedals on it + wah + volume/expression)
But I decided to keep the 5 pedals max.-attitutude as well; so the RC Boost will have to go in favour of a GE-7 (don't laugh !)..

'whiteboard' = 9 x 12 1/2, 1Spot powered

'Kentana' (SHO Clone) boost/buffer
OCD
GE-7
CE-2
DD-5 modded (hi-cut + fx-loop mod)
combined with RMC Pic Wah + Ernie Ball VP (original/Big One)

'surfboard' = 16x35 (to be cut down to 16x25), DC Brick Powered, Musicom EFX mkII Switcher

K's 90 (Phase90 (modded) )
Tube Zone
TC Chorus/Flanger
Boss TR-2 (C4 mod)
T-Rex Replica

combined with Dunlop 535q modded Wah + Ernie Ball VP Jr.

....which make the 2nd board almost 4 times the size of the 1st one... -sigh +1 -

Yep, j_m_s has it right. It's a Moollon Signal Boost. A handy little pedal made even better by my Loop Master. It's buffered when it's not engaged, so you can either use the Loop Master to take it out completely or engage the Loop Master to buffer your signal chain. And of course, you can get a sweet boost from the pedal itself. I really like it.

ausguitarman...whats to the right of the tuner? Donner delay?

It's a prototype Corby and I have been working on :D for a Dual Delay.

This is the first one but we've changed the enslosure to a larger width as there's to much going on inside.

Here's a early shot proir to completion.

Pink Flesh is awesome, best muff like fuzz I've ever used. It's pretty much become my lead tone. Haven't really used it low gain but it would probably work, I remember someone on another forum using it as a dirty boost.

Hey, everyone! First time poster!
First and foremost, amazing thread and loving all the amazing pedalboards here! I've gone thru the whole of the 660-odd pages and you guys have inspired me to make my own pedalboard.

Here are some pictures! I made it myself! The whole thing! From scratch! :D I'm very proud of it, even if it doesn't have any boutique pedals! And this all the beautiful sounds I needed it to do! Anyway, enjoy! :dude

They can't be more different.

Think the Sho is the Marshall while the Germ would be the Mesa when the pedal has the green LED on.

The Germ can be cleaner (to the point that it won't color your tone in any way) than the SHO when the Red LED is on.

I would say all of my OD's complement each other in a way and while they are all supposed to do the same and get to the same house down the road, one gets there in a bike while the other one gets there parachuting, if you know what i mean.

It is a beauty the way they stack together.

I don't have the words to explain it, but i hope this helps....

Cool. Very simple. How do you like the CAE/MXR booster?

I really like it! It's just a straight boost. No coloration at all. I've had a couple of RC's and an AC+ and both of them did something to the highs that over time just didn't suit me at all. For the money I don't think there's anything better than the mxr/cae to be honest.

Awesome. I had an RC and liked what it did, but...I couldn't use it as a boost. The tone w/ it on vs. w/ it off was too different for my taste, and it was too expensive for what became a buffer with a limited EQ and very slight compression....without controlling them individually.

I've been debating picking one up, and I think I'm probably going to go ahead and do it.

Found this shelf up in the attic. Think I'm gonna turn it into a pedal board. Need to make a little riser for the fuzz factory and probably one for the re20 as well. Chain will run fuzz factory-small stone-69-beano-klon-tvp1-re20-smmh. This will run out to a secondary board with an ls2. loop 1 will be my tuner, loop 2 will be a yamaha fx500. Just for good measure a holy grail will follow the ls2. I will run this rig into a 71 princeton or an ac30 depending on my mood.

Too small a board. My dd-2 and Fuzz Factory aren't in the picture. I'm building a true bypass strip and downsizing a bit on the pedals and should have the board sorted within the next month or so.

How's the 3.14? Absolutely loved the clips, but there doesn't seem to be many around here with one.

Another TGP'er asked me the same question not long ago. I sent him this reply. If you have further questions, just ask :)

I own a Fuzz Factory, fOXX Tonemachine, and a NY RI Big muff.

I have to say, the tone-control on the 3.14 is very versatile, and can get very bright and very dark on extreme settings.
On top of that, there are two tonestacks to choose from (voice switch). The up position is scooped, and big muff like. If you want to stay behind a mid-heavy band mix, or play alone, this is a very cool setting. Reminds me of the early smashing pumpkins fuzz tones.
The down position on the voice switch enables the mids. With that, you go into fuzz face territory.

Theres a switch for changing the clipping diodes from SI (symmetrical clipping) to a blend of SI/GE (assymetrical clipping). Although this doesn't make quite as big a change as the voice switch. The one is more smooth than the other.

A cool thing about the pedal is, that it doesn't care if its placed after buffers.

I have to say, i really like this pedal, esp. for the price. The labeling is just stickers, so they might fall of eventually. The waiting period for me was quite long (+1 month), but Lyle Caldwell, the builder, was quite busy at the time. Mail him for availability, he might have some already built ones, ready for shipping.

I think I'm getting really close.
I do need a tremolo, though. I just got the Mudhoney, and I think it could end up kicking the SD Twin Tube off.

If it does go, that'll free up space for a tremolo, and maybe something else.
That's a PT Jr., by the way.

Some rack stuff was a while back. I have a question about it though, what do you do about the electronic switching pedals? Each time they are powered off they have to manually be cycled on... seems like a lot to do when setting up your gear.

I have to admit, stompboxes and switching systems are sexy though...

Nice!
How do you like the dice works? And what's the orange pedal?

EDIT: I found the runoffgroove site. How do you like that pedal?

I like the Muff Diver Finale alot, I've not owned alot of muffs but I had a Mayo for a little while and I'd say the MDF does some Mayo and a whole lot more. It's based on a Triangle BM in stock settings but has switchs for the Guild Foxy Lady and cornish mods based on Gilmours tone.
The Orange Peel is pretty nice, I like a variety of sound and the OP fills my trebbly distortion, I usually keep the filter all the way up and boost the treble and bass keep the gain around half sounds nice pushed into the FKR.

RDBA: It's a DOD FX-75B Flanger circuit bent by Palthegiraffe and painted by my wife.

I use the glass nexus for all of my modulation effects. I just got it and haven't dived in it totally yet. I just bought a Timeline that will replace at least one of the dd20's and I'll control those by midi. The little silver box is a tap tempo switch and true bypass loop built into one box. I used to run the DD20's parallel and could send the tempo from that pedal to both dd20's.

In the band I currently play in, thats the only dirt sound I need. I occasionally, however, will take off either the ph-1r or ps-3 and put a crowther hotcake on the board as well. It all depends on the situation and the band I'm playing with.

Here are a few changes in the past few months. The only pedal that is gone is the Skreddy Screwdriver. That was a great pedal, but had to get rid of a few pedals because of a family illness and then death. Damn cancer!!!The AD900 joins the DMM as a pedal that I use a lot but usually by itself. I love just using a delay and an amp. The pedal that looks like a wah is actually a chorus pedal.

Excuse me again for this long message and for my bad English writing. I hope that these beautiful pictures you enjoy and that you will appreciate this contribution.

I would soon youtube some tests in video of my equipment. Not very well equipped for making sound and recording, I would with a simple camera. Thank you for your understanding.

See you soon on the forum.

Best regards.

Nicolas from France

-> For more information about Hook amps and hear the 6L6 version on numerous videos (very much) (The 6L6 is little less efficient than the EL34 Version), you can check out the following links (in French) to get an idea

With Hook you can get all the sounds (Plexi, AC30, Matchless, Dumble / Two-Rock and modern style) the head (in EL34) is a mixture of Mad Professor CS40, Bogner XTC, Soldano SLO, Two Rock Custom Reverb Signature.
They are made in very small quantities in the Netherlands. It is a professional guitarist who makes them and the developed during 10 years of research. They are handwired with the best ingredients. head has 3 channels with bright, EQ, Click channel, Tone Cut, Presence and a booster on each channel.
It's really very very good!

Thank you very much for everything!

I live in 200kms north of Paris.

All the best!

Initially I must have: Divided by 13 RSA23, FTR37, RSA31 and JRT9/15
The RSA31 amp was the least interested me because Hook was the same thing better, so I replaced the RSA31 by the Hook Captain 34.

*More info about Hook Amps:

Hook, it is simply the story of a professional guitarist of the Netherlands ' Leendert Haaksma' who was unable to find a multi-channel amp very versatile and possessing the best vintage and modern sounds that exist on the market and that would have a lot of sensitivity, versatility & very dynamic!
Also, this player (he plays all musical styles) played on Marshall Plexi, and Blackface Fender Tweed, Bogner XTC and Dumble ODS, as well as other amps for several years on a professional level.

Simultaneously he developed his amp for a decade of research in the offering to test his friends professional guitarists.
Their opinions have been very valuable in his research.
After 10 long years he released the head Captain equipped with 6L6 power valve which was already a great success and very recently it had launched a very small production of new amps that assembles itself when the time are called Captain Hook 34.
They are equipped with EL34 and this amp is very successful! (The EL34 is even better than the 6L6 and the sounds are even cleaner and more accurate.)
Hook amps received all the congratulations and recognitions in Germany and the USA where she began to be exported (always in very small quantities), the latest Frankfurt fairs and other NAMM has been a major success for Hook!
The director of Gibson Germany fell under the spell from the first listening and has several!

The price in Europe for the head is 2695 Euros (6L6 or EL34 version) without footswitch and without color (for a complete set with cabinet, count between 3200 and 3500 Euros in Europe with all taxes)

->Approximately 5500 US Dollars for a Hook complete set (extra charge for Shipping and Taxes)

The head Hook Captain and Captain 34 is used by many artists to the Netherlands and Germany, among others, by its designer Leendert Haaksma participating in Pinkpop Festival and numerous sessions in stage and studio recording.

The technical design is very similar to a Bogner XTC, a Soldano SLO, a Mad Professor CS40, or a CAA OD100, but with 3 channels, cut tone, click channel, Eq, Bright, Fx Loop, Dynamic Response , Booster on each channels, Midi Footswitch 5 Knobs with leds...

The head Captain 34 EL34 version is very similar to a Mad Professor CS40, the sounds are very similar, but it has its own personality and is cheaper than at home Mad Professor.

The sound is simply fabulous ... No kidding, I have already heard a Dumble original several times, the sound is really clear and very close to her also saturated, the amp can be used both in very low volume, as strong volume (rare thing for a Valve amps) it is super versatile, it can sound Two-Rock/Dumble in his clear, Fender Tweed / Blackface, Vox AC30, Marshall Plexi, and may even have sounds very modern.
It's very good for Stage or Studio Recording! Because very strong and versatile!

This amplifier fully respects the sound of guitars and the pickups styles.
This is an amp to buy their eyes closed if you like the sound SRV, Hendrix and sounds a little more modern!
It's really the same league as Mad Professor and Soldano and it is cheaper in Europe that Soldano, Mad Professor and Two-Rock.

If you are looking for Dumble style sounds just add a pedal Fuchs Plush with Valve or a similar pedal and turning a blind eye it will be difficult to know if you play on a true or a false Dumble Overdrive Special...
It's incredible!!!!!

To summarize, Hook it is 100% vintage sounds but with all the advantages of Modern (loop effects mixable, Footswitch to trigger Boost, channels, FX loop mix etc ...) And the sound ... incredible!
For a little less than a Two-Rock was the same thing in more comprehensive and versatile, it really deserves to be known!
If you like Divided by 13, Bogner, Mad Professor, Fuchs, Matchless, Soldano and Two Rock you like amps Hook!

All colors can be custom, even the color of each knobs!

All components are high-end, carbon-based and fully assembled by hand!

To say, even my wife knows that there's not much has managed to hear a clear difference in sound colour compared to Divided by 13 she has grown accustomed to hearing ... Yet she did not particularly subtle ear or ear for music, but also in the early second was conquered by the sound of this wonder!

· Channels and boost are all switchable with a simple latching footswitch
· A switchable tube buffered series effects loop along with a return level control (power section master volume) to allow interfacing with a wide variety of effects devices. The individual channel master level controls act as effects send levels and the return level control then acts as an overall master volume when the loop is used. The effects send jack is always active and is useful as a low impedance preamp section line out. When the loop is switched off the effect buffer (send and return) is completely bypassed for maximum transparancy
· 4-EL34 power tubes with a custom designed output transformer Mercury Magnetics (4 / 8 / 16 ohm )
· Regulated DC heaters for the 6 12AX7 preamp tubes provide low noise and increased tube life
· Custom designed overrated power transformer MERCURY Magnetics

-> Herewith some links of demo videos head Hook Captain, unfortunately these are 6L6, I think they sound a bit less than the version EL34, the sound is a little more aggressive and a little less than own EL34 version, but still not bad to give you an idea of its:
(Sorry for the quality WMV which is not to beautify the sound, and at that time there were no Hook Cabinet, they were merely a cabinet Bogner, what is more, since the amps have experienced some improvements, but as it is said to give you an idea of the beast ...)

-> The best samples are those of the creator.
To admit, this one has a big tuft of hair like Craig Ross guitarist Lenny Kravitz!

So my dear friends, hoping you have made a discover or rediscover a new manufacturer of amps that deserves to be known (to me finally, after tastes and colors it does not discuss good ... but personally, given the unanimity on the product of those who have tested or purchased this series of amps it seems to be of good came ...)

I will put you on youtube videos of my test rig so you have an idea of the EL34.
But if you liked the 6L6 you will only find better head CAPTAIN 34.

My amp is the CAPTAIN 34 finish Baby blue / Ivoiry, it is equipped with a Hook Cab (open / closed back) equipped with 2 x 12" G12H Heritage vintage who have never served in the days when they were still manufactured in Britain. These are originals.

Excuse me again for my English, I am French and the French in general do are not very efficient in foreign languages!
We are better at French kiss :)

All the Bests

Nicolas.

wow... very cool! Thanks for all the great info, Nicolas! Maybe it would also be cool to start a thread about the HOOK amps in the amps section. I think some people may be interested...
