I have around 12 pedals on a kinda large pedal board---> two parts.. I looking to change up my pedal's and do a rack with pedal drawer with looper and a Ground control .. Any help with this would be great! I have used pedals for all of my playing career ... This is gonna be a big change for me.. :bonk[IMG]http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r260/rotnroby/amps.jpg
RJM Effects Gimzo seem like just your thing then: http://www.rjmmusic.com/effectgizmo.php
12 loops, great quality. Check out the user manual: http://www.rjmmusic.com/manuals/EG%20Manual.pdf Lots of great info there.
As it looks like your running all your effects in front, it's not that complicated really, but check out this forum for some good pics of various rigs Dave Friedman have built: http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=57
A good layout and neat wiring is key. Mogami 2319 cable seems to be that standard for rack wiring, Bradshaw use it too.

I stand by the RJM Music Effects Gizmo as well.
Good luck with the change! I'm in the middle of similar change as well.

Effects Gizmo looks cool!
I'm a little confused on one point though.
In the manual it says "Twelve audio loops (eight grouped in series with an insert point after the first four loops, and four independent
loops)"
Does that mean that each of the 12 loops are not completely independent so you can't use each of the 12 loops in any combination?

All 12 loops are independent, it's just set up that way to be flexible with a setup with effects before and after amp/preamp.

Another choice is Sound Sculpture's Switchblade.
http://www.soundsculpture.com/products/switchblade_models.htm#GL
Routes effects in series, or parallel. Plus you can change effect chain order. (Doesn't matter what order you connect the pedals. You just name each input and output for what's plugged into it, then arrange the effect chain however you want for each patch) .
The Effects Gizmo is one Great switcher, but if you want to do complicated routing ( 2-3 amps, effect loops, different pedal orders...etc)
No switcher can do what the Switchblade can. Also has a great PC editor for programming "Win Blade".
Also there's Voodoo Labs GCX Audio Switcher. (only 8 loops though)
( just trying to add options)

I just switched over to pedalboard and rack/drawers. I chose the Switchblade... it seems like the best option out there if you can afford it. I got mine on CraigsList...
