Bruno Cowtipper 35- Austin Speaker Works KTS?

Currently have Bruno CT 35 Pro II 1x12 Combo with Celestion 12-65 Speaker. Sounds great (especially in the jazz setting), but curious about swapping speakers.

Have heard great things about the ASW KTS speakers.

Anyone have experience with KTS 60 vs 70 (in reference to CT35)? Priority for me is for the cleans. What do you guys see as differences?

yep had a 1X12" CT proII 35 watt that came with a Celestion 12-65 and I differ in your opinion about that speaker...I hated it in that amp as the cleans are so muffled sounding to me...IMO it overdrives nicely but at the expense of really pristine cleans...

I did some speaker swapping with that amp before I sold it and the ASW KTS 60 was by far the best match in that amp...huge...tight bottom end and very nice and sweet articulate highs...almost sounded like a 4X12" cab. with that speaker...

a Fane 100watt alnico was my next favourite followed by the KTS 70 which I didn't like as much of the 60 because the bottom end was thinner and the top end a bit more shrill...a Weber 12A150T was too soft and lowered the volumn too much to be of use in that amp...

Have a KTS-70 in my Carr Rambler, and could not be happier - imho you can believe the hype with these speakers. Great cleans, and a great overdrive sound (with the help of pedals in the case of the Rambler). Originally came with a Weber R1 - nice clean sound, slightly harsh sounding when driven - still nice enough sound, just thought it could be improved upon. The ASW KTS-70 proved to be a great choice. That speaker, and some NOS RCA Blackplates, gave me all I could ask for in a combo. Recommended.

I would use the kts70 for a cowtipper, 60 will have more honking mids, whixch a great for some amps and situations but not the choice for a BF Fender sound IMHO.

I used a KTS 70 in my Cowtipper 45 and loved it. I would NOT recommend the Elegante or 60 with the Cowtipper.

I have the Pro II 35 1x12 with a Celestion Gold. Tony seems to have matched everything up to work as is. I love it. Bruno's the man.
