M9 factory reset

Went through the steps -

- enter setup
- press model select knob until you see MIDI options
- turn until you see factory reset
- press TAP and model select knob, almost simultaneiously but the tap just slightly before


I keep going into loop mode, and Ive tried this a few dozen times... any one else frustrated? Am i doing something wrong or does it require super human timing?

1. Enter Setup.

2. Press the Model Select knob repeatedly until the MIDI settings appear.

3. Turn Model Select until "RST FACT?" appears.

4. Hold Tap—and before the two seconds it takes to enter Looper mode—briefly press the Model Select button.

The screen reads "RESET TO FACTORY? ARE YOU SURE?

5. Hold Tap—and before the two seconds it takes to enter Looper mode—briefly press the Model Select button.

After one second, the screen reads "FACTORY RESET COMPLETE" and M9 returns to the main screen.



Think of it like a QWERTY keyboard—hold SHIFT and press "a" to get "A" or hold COMMAND (ALT) and press "z" to undo a procedure.
