I'm looking for something thick and chunky. Thinking about the JCM800 sound, but don't want a Marshall. Who has one of these, and how loud is it?

In case you haven't seen this yet.
Sounds thick & chunky to me.

Mmhmm, I have seen it. Just wondering how loud it is.

I have a 25 watt amp that is plenty loud enough with 2x12 V30's
You could play pretty much anywhere with it.
Shoot, a 1x12w/V30 would be more than enough in most clubs.
The Olde 800 mk2 does have a MV. also

I had one a while back, and you donīt really have to worry about it not being loud enough. This was a Mark I, though, I canīt comment on the Mk2.

Why not an early JCM 800 like a 2204? They're fackin awesome and built really well. They will also retain their value a little better if you feel like selling.

OP said he didn't want a marshall.

Check out a Peavey VTM 60 or 120. It's the amp Peavey made back in the 1980's to early 1990's that is based on a modded Jose Marshall JCM 800. This amp model eventually became the forerunner to the 5150. Here's a pic of mine:
