Anyone here using one? How does it compare to models from Fender or Victoria?

Thanks for posting. I had never heard of Cox. I like his prices in comparison to Victoria and Clark, but in the same breath, I am really big fans of them as well. Free bump!:D

Yes, way better pricing than Victoria or Clark, but I'm wondering how much these lower prices reflect on quality as compared?

Same thing I am hoping to find out. I know some of it comes down to preference. Ceriatone proves that some of the prices can be a little high, but like I said, I like all of these guys building classic Fender models. Hoping this thread will get some attention as folk wake up and log in.:D

Well, we're talking about Fender-style tweeds here. Leo's tweed designs were simplistic and very effective. Cox doesn't have the reputation (yet) of V & C amps, so maybe this is the reason his amps are fairly priced?

Agree. The design is perfect for what I like in the amp and the Bassman and Twin are pretty much what define what I look for in an amp and how I judge them. Marshall, Dumble and Hiwatt pretty much complete the definition also.:D

Hey OC, MD! A couple of miles down the road from me. Anyway his amps have gotten good reviews from what I have read on here and a few other forums. I have been interested in getting one of his 5e3 tweeds for awhile now. I think like others have said a name goes along way in asking for the big $$$. Somebody on here has to take one for the team and try one out.

Whats up, good to see someone local around here. You in town in OC? I worked and lived there for awhile before settling down across the border in DE.

Good deal, I did the restaraunt thing for awhile as well, now in law enforcement, the wife teaches in Berlin. I spent alot of time in KCoast when I first started surfing, Mark(hairball) was always really cool to me and I spent alot of time bs'ing in there. If you ever happen to get a Cox amp let me know.

There was someone selling one on here not too long ago. I Pm'd him but never got a response. Not sure if he sold it or kept but atleast I would of liked to have their opinions on the amp.

He just posted a cool looking tweed twin. Really wish he had some clips of what he sells.

I have the Cox Amps 5E3 Ultimate with a Weber alnico in it. Great sounding amp. Anyone here pull the trigger on his Bassman? I'd love to hear about it.
