First switch to the left is the onboard effects loop; second is the (Brad) Sarno switch, third is a coil tap for bridge and neck pickups, fourth is the booster. (I think that's the order, anyway ;-)

Man, this guy's guitars give me the chills they're so badass.
Interesting combo of woods there, and it seems u must have plenty of tonal options on board too.
I can't stop lookin' at that thing!:messedup

Very, very nice...It's a good bet it sounds as wicked as it looks.
What kind of rig are you pairing this with? Love the tone from your Tiger.
That's may be the best looking guitar I've ever seen; congrats!!

Believe it or not, the last year I've been using just the Fractal Audio AxeFX Ultra, straight to the board for FOH and to a QSC K12 powered wedge for me onstage. I designed a preset with all Garcia's effects based on a Fender Twin and an impulse response file that was made off my own 2X12 Hard Truckers cabinet with a pair of JBL E-120 speakers. It uses the guitar's onboard effects loop, too. Took a 10-space rack, power amp, large, heavy speaker cabinet and about 26 cables down to two rack spaces.
This is a sample from the last gig:

Last time I checked ... yes. You'd better learn to play lefty, though.
No weight on her, yet ... it's shipping out to me today. Scott did an incredible job with it, I can't wait to play her. I did play a lefty Santa Cruz guitar the he built, which is when I decided to have this one built.

I've been following this build since the first wood pictures. Wow - she turned out great! Congratulations - Jerry would be proud (if somewhat confused by its inherent backwardness).

Playing Dead: First of all, congrats on the new Walker! That thing is outrageous!!! Scott is The Man, I myself have a Phoenix and now a custom hollow body on order.
Secondly, wow, that is probably the best Jerry tone I've ever heard besides Jerrys. Great playing too....Amazing job there!!!
And lastly, what is the Sarno switch? I have Brad's Black Box and it is a lifesaver so I'm very curious

Thanks for the kind words ... Brad's switch idea came out of a discussion he and I had about this guitar ... it was a way to try and get three different switching options off of one switch -- Les Paul switching with just the neck and bridge pickups, and Strat in-between switching involving all three pickups. Plus the ability to use the middle pickup on its own.
Basically, I wanted to have a guitar with a wide variety of tonal options, but still serve as a backup (or primary) Grateful Dead guitar. I'm writing original music now, and playing with some guys down here in Texas, and my Tiger guitar just says Grateful Dead and nothing but.
So, the Lil 59 and the Lollar are for the Les Paul type arrangment ... which is also why there are individual tone and volume controls for each pickup, so you can set the neck pickup for a clean tone and get the bridge loud and overdriven by flipping the pickup selector (with the master cranked, obviously).
The Super II is pure Jerry only ... it's wired single coil only.
The 59 and the Lollar are splittable so I can also get the inbetween positions going with the Super II single coil.
I can also have the bridge, middle and neck pickups on all at the same time, but there's some weird phasing thing happening that Scott hasn't figured out yet.

Guitar just arrived ... according to the unofficial bathroom scale, it weighs in at about 8 pounds, maybe a shade heavier.
Going to go and play it for a long time but first impressions ... photos do not do this guitar justice, it's just an unbelievably gorgeous instrument. Flawless from front to back. Rings beautifully unplugged. Perfectly balanced in my hands, neck carve is just right, frets impeccable, action like butter ... wow!
