I bought this Roland box yesterday. this thing is amazing....what a fantastic toy!
Listen to this: I recorded EVERYTHING (guitars included) by using the Dr-880:

Great tones from that thing. Still, at $500+, I'd have to do some serious justification.
By the way, great porno groove you got goin with this tune. ;)

I knew you would like it. I really dig mine. I got it for the easy programming (which it is) But man what a nice learning tool. Having all these jams and feels easily layed out and tweakable is invaluable. Never any guessing what Key or what bass chords are beening played. It's really helped my playing alot in the short time I have had it. Part of that is that I'm playing more because its just too much fun.
BTW they are going on E-bay for $400- 450 . I scored mine for $420 shipped ( never opened) IMHO a steel for what this can do.
Nice groove mano,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin,
your explanations were really helpfull and you got me gas-ed on this thing. It's great for: jamming, practising time, making backing tracks.
It's actually better than what I expected, both in terms of sounds and flexibility.

I'm really liking how you can EASILY take any preset and swap the chords for ANY of your own, 2,4,8 or 12 meas. change the drum and bass kits, tempo, feel, fills ............ Too much fun!
Everything I always wanted in a drum machine.
Kevin
